FearfulSymmetry: So I went to get my bit of minor surgery today and managed to faint on the operating table. Twice. And apparently I thrashed about quite a bit while I was out as well, which rather frightened my mother.

I can never just go and do something. :P
Uh that sounds not very good. How are you doing now?

avatar
Painted_Doll: Good afternoon everyone .
Good afternoon. How are you?

ElTerprise: Uh that sounds not very good. How are you doing now?
Okay-ish? :P I think.

How are you doing?
avatar
FearfulSymmetry: Yep, luckily the doctor had just about finished the surgery. Right now my stomach muscles are sore from the thrashing I did, and my nose hurts, but that was to be expected. Just taking it easy for the day, lying in bed with my laptop right now. :P

*big thank you hug* How are you? Is your partner feeling any better?
That is good to hear. Fingers crossed you recover quickly. *big get well soon hug*

I am doing good, thank you. My partner is feeling a lot better, and is currently plotting with my family about something and won't be back until this evening. Which is fine as I can get some more stuff ready for her birthday in a few days, and I even finally got her book in the post to surprise her with.

Oh, and check your chat for a little get well soon gift. :-)

ddickinson: Didn't people claim it was invented by an American for some time, despite evidence proving it was Canadian?
Most people still think that it was invented by George Washington Carver, because he did a lot of work with peanuts. I don't think he ever claimed to invent it - people just assumed.
The patent was issued years before Carver was ever famous, to a Canadian whose name I can't remember :-p

I'm sure it'll be loads better already tomorrow. It's going to take some extra care for a little while, but it should be fine. :)

Haha, plotting? That sounds ominous/fun? :P Good to hear both you and your partner are feeling better. And happy birthday for her in advance! Did you buy her a nice book?

Haha, that's very sweet, thank you a lot! :) *enormous tight thank you hug* *discreetly takes out +1 hammer*

So basically you Americans stealing invention again. :-)

Well that sounds reasonable after the surgery. :)

I'm doing quite good today :)

Haha yeah. Turned out a bit more intense than it should have been. :P I like to make everything into a spectacle, apparently.

Good to hear that! Did you get the phone from your colleague?

You just make sure you look after yourself, or do I need to ask Endre to come play nurse? :-)

It is actually her book, I got it printed for her. She loves to write, both poems and stories, but she has never really wanted to get them published as she does them for fun and she doesn't like many people reading them as she is still a little unsure of her writings at the moment, even if she is being silly and is actually very good, IMO. So once she finishes a book I try to sneak it away, design a cover, then do a limited run for her so she has one and her sisters can have a copy. It usually puts a big smile on her face.

Well the game looks interesting, and we talked about it before, so I figured you could try it and let us know what you think. No pressure on that of course, no rush to play it, but it will be nice to hear your thoughts when you finally get around to playing the game.

I'm fine, I'm just relaxing in my bed for now. :)

How awesome! That's a really excellent gift. Seems like it would be a lot of fun. I've thought of doing that myself as well, it just seems like it would be nice to have a physical copy around. :)

I'll definitely let you know! If my nose stops running I might give it a shot in a bit, now that I'm sort of confined to my bed anyway. :P *big thank you hug*

AgentBirdnest: ... McDonalds :-)
You can take them back too :)

Yep, we felt it was better if I didn't go alone ... and that turned out to be right. :P My mother had to take me out in a wheel chair. xD

It's okay now. Still some minor pain and such, but it'll be fine. :) *big thank you hug* How are you doing today?
I will be going for a little while as I need to get a bit more rest, still feeling quite bad at the moment with my health.

Have a lovely day and I shall see you soon.

*hugs and waves*
