Been looking at the reviews for the X games. Apparently X3 was an underperforming bug-ridden mess when it came out (why does that sound so familiar?) But a series of patches later performance doubled, most bugs were corrected and the game became actually playable and enjoyable.

An interesting reminiscence here that has nothing to do with games, but hey, its entertaining.

When I was at school I had a friend who was half Greek, half Italian. His Greek grandmother came to visit one time, a short fat scarved and cardiganed old woman who knew only a handful of English words and spoke them with a heavy accent, and who spent her time sitting in an armchair watching television.

One evening the family were watching TV, none of them speaking, watching whatever show it was with rapt attention, when the old visitor suddenly piped up and said in a loud voice, “I want penis. Gimme penis!”

My friend was rightly shocked, and perplexed when his mother, daughter of the old woman, got up calmly and left the room. She returned a minute later with what the old woman wanted: a bowl of peanuts.

I need to write some, I'm more than a week behind.
