Bought Sacred in a whim... Usually ARPGs are not my cup of tea exactly, but I thought I might give it a try. First disappointment - German game, but no German version available :-/

*gives Big Daddy a big hug*

CarrionCrow: Right. Same here.

I guess it makes sense from a drawing attention standpoint, but once people are here, they'll hold off if they have any experience with these sales.
*sneaks up behind Crow and hugs him*

That always strike me as a little bit odd. You'd think that a company in Germany wouldn't have much trouble doing a native language version. Guess they didn't feel like spending whatever time and money it'd take.

You picked an interesting one for your impulse buy. Sacred is large. Very, very large. Boatloads of side quests, tons of running around. If you play it and end up liking it, Sacred 2 is even larger. Think I read somewhere that it's two or three times the size of Sacred 1. If anything, that feels like a conservative statement.
Ok,my first city in Banished went like:"I have no idea what I'm doing".

Oh there is a German version. Just not on GOG. Probably caught in some licence hell - different publisher, whatever. Most of the time GOG can aquire the local(ized) versions of games if they aren't available on release. Not in this case it seems. Well it's my fault for not checking.

I've heard that the game is large. Is there some meat to the story at least, or is it just click-to-kill and loot'n'level?
Also I'm torn between the vampiress, that demoness or the seraphim - those strike me as the most interesting characters to play with.

Banished is an awesome game. Once you get the hang of it I highly recommend mods for it to enhance it ;)

Here is one of my favorite mods

From what I played, it's largely hack and slash. Not a whole lot of story, just enough to keep the overall ball rolling. The vast majority is exploring, doing side quests, leveling, getting better gear.
That's a surprise.

A few weeks ago I helped a friend on a job as a photographer. It seems I made a good job because both of us were requested to do another.
Perhaps this is a hint for me to seek different endeavours. :-)

Enjoy the sale! See you later.

Never help people you will see your self soon enough in the mirror when you are asked away because you helped but they don't really seem to remember that. =)

Good one ;) . Surely, "An old gamer walks into a pub" is a better start than an idiotic statement about some bloody dwarf living in a dump-hole. I see another great fantasy work in its inception! :)

I would actually like to walk in the bar where I could talk about games.
Hello, folks of the thread! I hope you're all enjoying your weekend! I've been wrapping up side quests in DA:I and am about to tackle the DLC and then finish up the game. Otherwise, just spending the day playing with Sarge and enjoying some background teevee and music.

*hugs and waves all around*
