CarrionCrow: Wouldn't mind doing so if possible, but not sure if I'll be able to grab them before the promo ends.
I think the greatest problem is finding someone who actually wants Horned Rat. Or the Eldar panzies' game.

NoNewTaleToTell: Oh right...I need to keep forgetting that I have a playthrough of Risen 2 started. I haven't touched it in over a month.
-laughs- Sounds like me and Dex. Started, ran at it hard for 12 hours, then got bored. Haven't touched it in weeks.

That problem is already solved, since I intend to get all four.

Does anyone here like racing simulators (I mean proper racing, not the Need For Content games), or am I the only anorak?

I used to enjoy sitting on the big chair at mediamarkt and playing F1.

Racing Sims must be played with a wheel. Controllers are very much NOT satisfying.
Which one do you have in mind?

Does F-Zero count?

I'll stop being useless and step aside now :-)

Oh man, I'm not sure if that's a sign of how good the game is or not haha. Risen 2 definitely feels like a step down from Risen, but it has some positives of its own. What killed my interest (for a while) was a bug that made a skill not unlock after you bought it, but it seems to have fixed itself. Luckily I'm not THAT far into the game so I shouldn't have to be too worried about remembering characters.

I think they're fine. Not a massive, massive fan, but if I saw one that struck me as appealing, I'd go for it.

I'd say it depends. Some games have lulls, other games have dead stops.

Your gamestopper reason is a universal one. Not many things will break the flow harder and faster than something being messed up and having no way to fix it.

The sheer stupidity... I just read something off a forum, that made me roll on the despair for humanity table and I managed to get snake eyes. It's not even something offensive or disgusting, it's just so... pointlessly idiotic!

Once I conquer the world I will enforce a neutering policy based on online activity.

If only. It'd certainly help with overpopulation.

At various times I've been addicted to GT Legends, rFactor, NR2003 and Grand Prix legends, all enjoyed with a Logitech G25 wheel. GT Legends and rFactor stand out as the best, but for an oval racing fix and an amazing list of mods, NR2003 scores highly. Grand Prix Legends is one the devotees wax lyrical about, but which in reality is too long in the tooth to be taken that seriously any more, in spite of a dedicated modding scene. Its physics are at best questionable. rFactor's mod list is as long as your arm and a couple of legs and the best of them really are amazingly good. Another title worth noting is Richard Burns Rally, which is perhaps the most realistic of the lot. Codematers' F1 titles are all a let down and trade reality for a hybrid real/arcade approach which the purists find disappointing. And iRacing is far too expensive to be a contender. The pay to play titles are all pretty good, but the principle of draining money constantly from the players just sucks so much.

Hello, lunar lady ;-)

Fink Flitzer looks like fun. How has your day been, and as its getting late are you heading for another sleepless night? (I HOPE NOT) :-)
