AgentBirdnest: It is really entertaining. I find it kinda funny how much controversy there was when it came out. I remember reading newspaper articles that described it as "the worst game of all time" and a "murder simulator". It's not too different from South Park, as far as "questionable content" goes (but then, South Park has been extremely controversial too.) But you are right - the game is not meant to be taken seriously. It is entertainment.

*rolls around on the ground with New Shelf, pummeling it mercilessly* >:-|
That happens a lot. Horror movies are much worse than any game, especially the ones that try to be realistic and psychological. They are far worse than any game I have ever played, yet people don't seem to react to them the same way. People just like to complain sometimes, or they overreact. A bit like that Hatred game, or the anime porn stuff. People overreact at first, but once things calm down they see it was nothing really. You don't even have to be that violent in Postal 2, you can pretty much play the whole game without killing the majority of people. I was not too keen on the Apocalypse weekend part of the game, that was more linear and did not make much sense at all.

Good day, Ag... were you just fighting with a shelf ?.... õ__ô
Nevermind. Bananas with peanut butter wounds great in fact :) i'd totally taste it (and i'm not fond of peanut butter... i wouldn't taste many things covered in it).
My weekend was mostly good and relaxing... thanks. how was yours ?
I'm like Garfield, I don't like Mondays >:-| (who does, anyway...)

Good morning, folks! Still not quite awake, but we had our annual Halloween party this weekend with friends, and it was a great time all around. We ended up going with the Princess Leia / Han Solo idea after all, caught up with some old friends, had a few drinks, sang a bit of karaoke and just had a good time out.

I did learn this weekend that there is one person Sarge will absolutely bark at like he's about to take their face off, one person with the power to terrify him and piss him off just by making an appearance... and that person is me dressed as Princess Leia. ;)

I hope you all had a lovely weekend, and that your week is off to a good start! I haven't caught up on the thread in days, time to get busy.

I bet you looked all pretty as Princess Leia. ;-)

It sounds like you had a nice weekend. Let's hope that keeps up for the week as well.

*raises hand regarding anime porn* First to admit I overreacted a bit about that one. It was a bit of a shock to see such a "different than usual" type of game here, but the next day I thought to myself, "I play Postal 2. I have some major double standards." :-p
At first, the game was actually not violent at all for me, because I'm such a polite and peaceful Agent :-p .... but after a while, I decided to make things a bit more... flaming >:-) The game's tagline is very true - "Remember, it's only as violent as you are!"

*Hides the fact I don't mind Mondays*

Hello, Owl!

We will get most of the packing done tomorrow, but I thought I would make a start today. We are going to the coast so I am not sure if we should take our beach stuff. Given that it is autumn it is unlikely, but there has been some nice sunny days, so we might take our beach stuff just in case.

*big hug with extra courage for the already courageous Owl*

*regular return hug, as I don't like coffee* :-)

Ahem. Sorry :"| ... we have some differences that need to be "resolved" >:-|
My weekend was... Well, I can't remember the first 68.3% of it... but the last 31.7% was really nice and peaceful. Plus, I had the best night of sleep that I've had in at least a week, which was very nice :-)
Well, luckily today is Moonday. It's much better and more lovely than Moday ;-)

Don't worry, many people do. It is just the culture we are in. We are okay with violence, but show any sign of nudity and people overreact. Welcome to the western world. :-)

Have you done many of the achievements? I looked at them but I am not really big on all that kind of stuff, plus many seemed like stuff I wouldn't do. Like the ones for peeing and kicking dogs and things.

*Wonders if Agent is actually losing the fight?* :-)

Maybe I should throw you in the Oubliette until you calm down...
