IMO Chrome (and it's forks) has been the best browser for "seamless web experience" for years. I have the feeling Firefox (Mozilla) have really lost their shit a while ago. Since I'm a web-dev, I use all major browsers every day.

It is Silverlight because in my case Netflix gives an error mentioning Silverlight...and Chrome doesn't use Silverlight afaik which is why Chrome is actually the only way to watch something like Netflix on Linux (for example)

As for Netflix, I haven't had a single problem or crash with it since making the switch. Thinking like Pimp does, that Silverlight's got problems which cause everything to break when it's feeling temperamental.
Too much resource use, Netflix not working, occasional crashes for no apparent reason, Flash plug-in container crashes for no apparent reason.

The only extension i'm missing in Chrome is NoScript though....
Yes...but afaik Microsoft won't develop that any more anyway and the Edge browser doesn't have Silverlight included....
Odd....that sounds like a bug...

Because that's what I'm experiencing with it. And it's bloody annoying.

Out of curiosity: What are your issues with Firefox?

I didn't know Netflix and Firefox are not best of pals. :-) I need to remember that if I ever sign Netflix in the future.

Like Tom said, Firefox has been going downhill for a while. Once upon a time, I opened up Firefox in a mediocre computer, opened up over 600 simultaneous tabs, and it still ran. These days, it'll crash and die in less than 50.
Additional - Dear gods, I hope some list stuff pops up for the upcoming big sale(s). I've got some games on that list that've been there way, way too long.
It really wasn't difficult. I don't pack a lot of stuff onto my browser, and what I cared about was readily available. (Adblock, Barefoot Essentials, the stuff I use every day) The layout's a little different, but even with virtually zero experience using it, it was up and running in no time.

I'm more of an old school TSR D&D and AD&D guy.
Maybe you'd like to try?

Back in high school I played AD&D, GURPS and a bit of Mechwarrior/Battletech.
Hell it can even be this one.
---------
I think I'll be ditching Firefox too, and switching to Opera, just because.
