It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

So you now use it for more than just Netflix? Btw...Netlfix won't work on Firefox for me either...

the movies on my mgo account work like utter shit on firefox. But run smooth even while multitasking on IE for some odd reason, I'm gonna guess silerlight.

I never liked Chrome much. Too minimalist for my taste.
Out of curiosity: What are your issues with Firefox?

IMO Chrome (and it's forks) has been the best browser for "seamless web experience" for years. I have the feeling Firefox (Mozilla) have really lost their shit a while ago. Since I'm a web-dev, I use all major browsers every day.

It is Silverlight because in my case Netflix gives an error mentioning Silverlight...and Chrome doesn't use Silverlight afaik which is why Chrome is actually the only way to watch something like Netflix on Linux (for example)

It only took a few minutes to shift everything I had on Firefox over to Chrome. Now using the latter as my general browser. Thought there might've been a problem, but it turned out I was having a dumb moment and forgot to install Essentials on Chrome. Everything's worked properly since.

As for Netflix, I haven't had a single problem or crash with it since making the switch. Thinking like Pimp does, that Silverlight's got problems which cause everything to break when it's feeling temperamental.

Too much resource use, Netflix not working, occasional crashes for no apparent reason, Flash plug-in container crashes for no apparent reason.

For some reason I tried to use mgo with chrome, but they'll block you from viewing the videos if you try to use chrome. So I just use IE.

Having to use IE is a reason not to use a site at all. Even if it contains tentacle bukkake midget bondage porn starring Ron Jeremy in original Japanese voice.

Yes. Pretty easy indeed - think of switching back to it as well (wouldn't be the first time) and using Pale Moon as a back up. Not the greatest fan of Google but the Browser works fine - although i'm really looking forward to the Vivaldi Browser....

The only extension i'm missing in Chrome is NoScript though....

Yes...but afaik Microsoft won't develop that any more anyway and the Edge browser doesn't have Silverlight included....

Odd....that sounds like a bug...

bwahahahahah that was hilarious. But no, have a bunch of star trek episodes on it so I'll be forced to continue to use it. :P

By fits you mean sudden unexplained hiccups during which the damn things freezes, locking up and forcing you to wait until it recovers out of it's catatonic state?

Because that's what I'm experiencing with it. And it's bloody annoying.

It's a good thing you managed to make a smooth transition to Chrome.
I didn't know Netflix and Firefox are not best of pals. :-) I need to remember that if I ever sign Netflix in the future.

I wasn't having hiccups. More like full-on failures requiring restart.

Like Tom said, Firefox has been going downhill for a while. Once upon a time, I opened up Firefox in a mediocre computer, opened up over 600 simultaneous tabs, and it still ran. These days, it'll crash and die in less than 50.

Additional - Dear gods, I hope some list stuff pops up for the upcoming big sale(s). I've got some games on that list that've been there way, way too long.

It really wasn't difficult. I don't pack a lot of stuff onto my browser, and what I cared about was readily available. (Adblock, Barefoot Essentials, the stuff I use every day) The layout's a little different, but even with virtually zero experience using it, it was up and running in no time.

pimpmonkey2382.313: Not much of a WOD fan, but I would really like to try the last unicorn version of the star trek RPG's.

I'm more of an old school TSR D&D and AD&D guy.
Was never a TSR guy myself, and I know absolutely nothing about its system or its background setting, so I wouldn't feel comfortable with DM'ing an AD&D game.

Maybe you'd like to try?

LeoLR: Hmmm... I'm not really familiar with anything related to World of Darkness.
Back in high school I played AD&D, GURPS and a bit of Mechwarrior/Battletech.
I have a penchant for the old world of darkness, mostly due to nostalgia, but it doesn't have to be one of those. We can agree on a game we're all comfortable with.

Hell it can even be this one.

I think I'll be ditching Firefox too, and switching to Opera, just because.

I'm not nearly creative enough to DM. If I were gonna try though I'd probably start with a version of Classic D&D.
