So... Fall back, right? Central Europe is now 7 hours ahead of me instead of 8? [/fails at daylight savings] >__o

You've got that completely wrong, Agent - the clocks here have gone back to the 13th of October 1066. Word has it that tomorrow there's going to be a bit of trouble with a large number of owls...

Have you had your daily peanut butter dose yet?
Good Morning EIT and Agent!

Hey I found some toast in a game... supposedly it has a meaning in the game, maybe. When I look at the toast closely it says all you need is peanut butter...

Stilton: Horror films, spicy food and gaming sound like the perfect weekend to me.

Can I pay you a visit? :-)
Haa, if you bring some movies along sure! :)

Friday the 13th... in an October? ô__ô That can't be good. Watch your flanks. Those owls are tricky ;-p

No peanut butter this morning. Stomach is giving me too much trouble. Just some nice cold water instead :-)

Good mornoon, Suppy!

That sounds about right. One of my favourite snacks is peanut butter on some toast. Spread it on the moment after it pops up, and the peanut butter melts very nicely :-)

Right! Two suitcases, one filled with horror films, the other with spicy food (damn, I should've left it in its packets...)

I'm humming this and on my way!
Happy Saint Crispin's Day! The day in which 600 years ago we killed tens of thousands of those evil French frog killers. :-)
(Unless you read that book from that woman who just makes crap up and twists facts to change the number of soldiers. Why must people lie about history just to sell a book.)

A rare Sunday visit from me. My partner is having to work a little today due to us going on vacation soon, so I figures I would see what you boys get up to while the rest of us are away. :-)

*hugs and waves*

The Normans were Vikings, not French. :-)

And why not go back 600 years? Today is the 600th anniversary of the Battle of Agincourt. :-)

Stilton: Had a nice early wake up and breakfast with sunrise. I'm currently sorting through my list of game goodies to see what I want. There's a pleasing amount of good stuff, but also a lot of clutter to get rid of. Its too easy to fill up hard drives with things I might use but probably never will.
Sounds really lovely :)
Indeed but i usually only download the soundtracks. All the other stuff is case by case :)

Hi DD :-)

Now, I didn't say where the owls were from, did I...?

Agincourt is better - I must've set my clock to the wrong time....there we are ;-)

How's your Sunday, nice and comfy, I hope :-)
avatar
XxXSprayvWarXxX: Hey Stande! :) I see that you are watching movies! :) Here is Greece we moved an hour back! :)
avatar
superstande: Ah you too? :)
How are you going to spend that big extra hour? :P

Just watched Resident Evil - the first one. Really was suprised that it's a good solid movie!
Never seen it. Good solid halloween fun. And based on a game (series) :)

avatar
Stilton: May I just say, Super, that you have the most exquisite taste. :-)

And welcome to parallel existence plane day! (the same thing's happened here....)
avatar
superstande: Thank you, sir.
The Halloween time brings the metal head in me out :)

Ah you too, must be a conspiracy... By the Umbrella Corporation!
Yes, mhm something naughty I guess :P
Nice, yeah I heard good thing about it. :)

Depending on who you listen to, then yes. But sadly people recently have been trying to distort those figures in Frances favour, using facts and information that is not accurate at all, and in some cases made up. It was about 5,000 - 8,000 English against about 35,000 - 40,000 heavily armoured French. But again, people now argue about the facts. Some claim the French had only about 10,000, yet we killed more than that, not to mention the thousands of prisoners we took. Sadly these days people twist things to put a new angle on things in the hope their books will sell. They put it down to how they interoperate the facts. Which is fine, but they should sell that as their opinion, not pretend that their theory is now fact.

So you would rather have frogs over fish-and-chips? :-)

Good day, Mr Agent! I hope you are having a nice weekend?

*big return hug*

That is true. :-)

My Sunday is quite nice, although I am a bit sad that my partner is having to work today at short notice. But since we are going away for a while soon she needs to make sure things are in place at her work, so it is not too bad.

Well longbows were really poweful.

ElTerprise: Well longbows were really poweful.
They are indeed. I love my longbow. There is over 100lb of pressure needed to fully fire the arrow. Plus it was armour piercing. It is my favourite of all the bows I have used. Although I can't use it for too long before my arm gets tired. Despite how games and movies show them archers were usually quite strong, and more than capable of using a sword/spear as well as the bow.

From a modern viewpoint it's pretty easy to twist that numbers by not taking several parts of combattants into account. I read somewhere that the french had 10,000 knights and men-at-arms alone which means those numbers you mentioned ignore all the additional combattants (additional cavalry, infantry and archery)

You're going on vacation? That's really nice! When, and for how long (just that we know you're not K.O. again)?
