toxicTom: Might work in the case of Archimedian Dynasty or Subwar 2050. Silent Service are more tactical games, most of the time you spend on the map screen, trying to sneak into a convoy avoiding the destroyers.
Well i didn't suggest that for Silent Service specifically but good to know :)

Stilton: A word of warning to anyone who wants a Halloween horror treat...

Slender, The Arrival!!!

Its pants, avoid. Clunky, not much in the way of tension, boring, repetitive sound effects - to the point that the 'footsteps in the long grass right beside you' effect makes you yawn, and ultimately plain annoying. I got maybe half way in and decided banging my head on my desk would be more fun.

Hi :-)
I am not surprised. It looked like a one-trick pony that didn't even manage to do that one trick very well, so I avoided it.

Also, good evening. =)

With the amount of games the more obsessive among us are apt to accumulate there are bound to be some duds along the way. I'll put something on with better reviews next time. I would've been really annoyed if it'd been Halloween night.

Oh yeah. Pretty sure I own all of those as well.

You'd have good reason to be. At least you got the garbage out of the way early.
Good Evening Stilton & Crow and everybody too ;)

Been reading this thread once a bit more than usual, partly because I'm downloading horror movies from vudu and taking breaks with wasteland 2. Frank the goat has beat the odds so many times it's getting to be kinda creepy, he has only 1 hitpoint and doesn't level up. maybe he doesn't need to... his luck must be maxed out.
Howdy all, back from work, coffee in hand and thinking about lunch.
Life is good. :-)

Yeah! And re-watching Firefly with my wife. Fucking awesome series. It's inconceivable it was cancelled after only one season.

I'm a fan of Joss Whedon (specifically Buffy/Angel) but I've never seen Firefly and space-y scifi shows can be iffy to me. A local store has the complete series on sale for about 9 bucks, would you recommend it?
I wish I was a professional game reviewer sometimes. Right now, for example. I have the perfect blurb for a developer's webpage.

Puzzle Quest 2 - a game so enthralling it literally put me to sleep while playing it.

See, I told you so; you're GOG's shaman, risking acute boredom for the good of the tribe :-)

Not even close. Think I'm going to stop trying to get anything out of that one and delete it instead, since I've already beaten it before anyway. And because it sucks.
Good moaning.

An appropriate greeting because I'm actually moaning, my neck is killing me. I now know what cervical pains are like, and it sucks. I think I need a massage, any volunteers?

All right, I'll take my chances with Dr. Homer's miracle Spine-O-Cylinder.

So because of this pain I'm not going to play games, last thing I need is to make it worse by crouching forward on my chair. I think I'll give Son's of Anarchy a try. I read the summary and it seemed made of awesome.

Do... NOT talk to me... until you've seen it... Or I shall go Ordo Hereticus on you like an inquisitor walking in the middle of a slaneeshii furpile.
Not watching Firefly... THAT'S HERESY!
