superstande: Good Morning, Agent!
Save the World? :p

And Good Morning All you... Crow, Pimp, Robospongie and Tox... Stilton! :)
avatar
Stilton: Hi Super :-)

What time is it with you? 3:15 in the morning here and I'm watching horror films :-)

And hi, Agent! Sorry you woke a bit disorientated. Have something to eat (peanut butter!) and relax a while and things should straighten out :-)
Ah... it's 5:26 now. Playing Wasteland 2 and having coffee... then it's work and a long nice weekend.
3:15 sounds like a perfect time to be watching horror :) If you don't need to get up early :)

Hm... Is this post showing.. having problems seeing my posts...

Hey Stilts! Got the PB right here. Grabbed it almost before I was even awake ;-)

pimpmonkey2382.313: So did last unicorn games (the company that put out the version of the trek RPG's I have.), I THINK decipher had the last version of the trek game that was released. No idea about who's doing what now with trek.
No clue on that one either. Seems like all things Star Trek have been at a standstill for a while. Heard the latest movie wasn't the greatest, maybe that cooled people's desire towards working with the property for now.

I see it fine... Is your post the first on a new page? There is a bug that sometimes prevents the first message on a new page from being seen until there are one or two more posts after it.

On the movies, I hear they're going ahead with a sequal. But no idea what's going on at all with any of the RPG's or anything.

AgentBirdnest: Don't think so.
It feels like a premonition or something, even though I don't really believe in that (other than - the more you think something bad will happen, the more likely it is that something bad will happen.) Nearly an hour later, and still can't shake the feeling.
Or maybe it's just indigestion. Who knows.
It might be wake-up anxiety. It's shitty, but it happens.

Your showing loud and clear :-)

The site was being its usual self earlier - delays in showing messages, duplicating chat messages, blowing raspberries whenever it felt like it.

Horror movies are great right now, and luckily I don't have to get up early. Although I'm a bit worried, because Boris Karloff has just thawed out the Wolf Man and Frankenstein's monster from suspended animation in ice. It can only lead to trouble. Why will these people never learn?!!

Maybe that's what you woke up thinking about! Seriously, I hope you're feeling better after your favourite food :-) Foods can be really calming if you like them a lot.

How do you know an RPG has gone too long, been padded too much? When a wannabe completionist starts screaming, "Fuck it, I just want this to be over!"

Right about when you reach that point. You know, where you go "this isn't even fun anymore, please let the next mission be the last one!".

I got there in Two Worlds, completely burnt out at the end. Gothic 3 had that feeling too at points, mostly due to a few missions that give stupidly vague directions in a huge world.

Exactly. And then that mission isn't the last, or the one after that, or the one after that, or the next 20 after that.

Have been playing Puzzle Quest for 39 hours. This game absolutely did not need to be 40 hours long. They did not have the originality of content to merit it being that long, the mechanics are not unique, varied and enjoyable enough to merit it being that long.

Think I found some good scans of the Trek RPG's I own. Will be good replacements. :)

Not replacements, just secondary copies of your legally owned items. =)

Additional - Just had the final boss get six 4 of a kinds in a row, one after the other. I took a moment to calculate the odds and came up with go fuck yourself game I know you're fucking cheating at this point, you piece of shit.

Well, true, but the digital ones will be the ones being used now if I ever get the chance. The physical copies will stay in my rpg book box. :P
