Stilton: Secret Agent Man! How are you feeling today? I hope better than yesterday!
avatar
AgentBirdnest: Good evenoon, RumpleStiltonkin. Can't really remember yesterday that well (my memory sucks) but I'm feeling quite splenderiffic today.
Currently torturing myself with Volgarr The Viking. Still stuck on the first level ):-\ ... It's brutal as pluck, but somehow I just can't stop playing.
I've got a copy of Volgarr and I sort of walk carefully around it giving it a wide berth and sizing it up, knowing full well that when we get going its going to cause me all kinds of pain. Its the gaming equivalent of bull fighting, I think.
avatar
AgentBirdnest: They got you too, eh? I thought I was safe staying in this thread, but I guess not ;-)
There is safe and too safe. People should gamble more (and i'm not actually saying gambling with money, I have a bit of trouble with that in the past) I'm just saying that people should gamble more with their lives.. sounds bad but it isn't. =P

I'm just saying that it prob is good to take some risks. It's pretty new thing to me but i'm trying that.

Stilton: Now I've had some sleep I can only conclude that it was some kind of bizarre and almost successful attempt at brainwashing. It was the kind of imagery that goes in like a blade and seeks out the reddest and most vulnerable parts, and in its way (strangely) I was pleased about it, Halloween season being that wildly freakish time when literally anything goes :-) And it almost did...

My other half is a really good person, a real gem, but she has an amazing ability to withhold information it would be far better knowing a reasonable time in advance until just before the event. Half an hour, after a long night and attendant energy depletion, is not enough time to be told to grovel around on your hands and knees reaching for inaccessible inflow and outflow pipes in corners of the kitchen that are best avoided if you want to keep from becoming radioactive. There were things down there even a warped mind like mine could hardly contemplate. They might even have been breeding... We eventually got it done and the two lazy bastards who delivered the new one (that'll cost you extra, so will that, err, and that) only completed the uninstallation job because they had agreed to take the old one with them. They refused to plumb in the new one unless we paid them to. Incredible what passes for service these days. So I grovelled around again, this time lifted by the thought of saving money and preventing the two shits from shafting us as they wanted to.

Bed, when I got there, felt like a shallow grave, but I was grateful even for that.
-laughs- That's a very nice way of putting it.

It's like a bad game show concept - watch the contestant crawl around trying to put things together while sleep deprived.
Also, it sounds like the deliverymen were scummy assholes. That's not service, it's the appliance industry's version of microtransactions. Only in their case, they'll charge a hell of a lot more than a dollar or two.

I bet in Japan there is a show like this...

Anyway *Good night hugs* to all the lovely folk here... thank gods it's Friday tomorrow. What a week..
Good moaning.

Just came back from looking at bundle of holding. Strange's background setting looks delicious. And it claims to be chock full of scrumptious artwork.

Let's ask our other resident P&P RPG expert. What do you think of that one bloodshot-eyed-corvid?

I'm still whining about not getting deadlands when I had the chance (did I ever have the chance? I don't actually remember).

If it's sick, weird and showcases humiliation and suffering, Japan's done it.

He he, my weekend started today.

Spent it lazing around, tomorrow I gotta do stuff though.

On an unrelated note... I NEED THIS!

Took a chance on Soul Gambler over on Steam, using up most of my Steam Trading Card Funny Money, and it's downloading at a blazing 20kbs max (14kbs average)! Already downloaded a whopping 95 megabytes out of 276.

In other pointless gaming news, my Sim in The Sims 3 is earning a nice 51 thousand Simoleons a week from her businesses and there are still more to buy, I wonder what the max weekly earning is just from businesses...
Good evening folks *big hugs and waves*

I'd get it. Picked up Numenera a while back and found it interesting, and the Strange is from the same company.
The Bundle of Nerves will be my first choice, but that's because it has items I've been going back and forth on getting for a while now.

Took a look at that one. My reaction was mostly meh.
Although one of them is a (supposedly) two player game, I admit I'm curious about that one.
Was there ever a deadlands bundle?
----
Edit: There's another bundle of nerves.

Bundle of Nerves +3 is getting that meh response from me. Bundle of Nerves has my attention because it has Don't Rest Your Head and Don't Lose Your Mind. Have wanted those for a while.

Yes, there was. I have the contents of it on my desktop as we speak.

Thinking your current net connection might be made of coat hangers, duct tape, and the transmissions of a senile chipmunk with psychic powers.

First the common cold, now insomnia's making the rounds? Kick Stilton in the shin, he evidently infected you with it.

Yes, it is. They don't have dollar bundles, but compared to retail prices you can still save a lot of money if something you want shows up.
*hugs everyone.* :)

Back in my day we had 33kb modems that we had to crank up to keep them running, in the snow, uphill, BOTH WAYS.
Actually no we didn't but a lot of people I knew did have 56kb ones; downloading a picture of boobs took at least a minute.
Aaah; the terrible old days may they never come back.

I've never played any sims. I should make a t-shirt out of that.

More like the groupees thing I'd say. It doesn't have as much hype nor does it let you get away with a one cent purchase.
