If you make a mental estimate of how many active users there are on this forum and then the fact that GOG has sold about 700,000 units of the Witcher 3 a lot of things make more sense.
A large percentage of these sales were undoubtedly to Galaxy users. I've noticed several times now that people are referring to GOG as Galaxy. "I bought that game from Galaxy and it won't work", or, "I found it on the Galaxy Site".
I think it''ll be a frigid day in Hades before we see much improvement in the forums or even the website.
Galaxy is where it's at now, like it or not.
(These opinions are mine and mine alone, you can't have them) :-)
Stilton: Or not giving a damn. The message it comes with is really out of place, something like Sorry, but we're too popular to help you right now. Popular my arse. They're too lazy/uncaring to get their website to the state that people can use it without being given crap excuses.
CarrionCrow: Figuring they meant it as silly originally. Problem is, it starts getting old after a few years of buying, watching the site grow, seeing the business increase, but the infrastructure isn't growing with it.
I still think a lot of their problems come down to their location. Once they get over the hurdle of setting up a U.S. office, things will undoubtedly improve. They'll have access to tech people, support people, web people, and they'll be able to fix problems a hell of a lot faster.
Anyone with a decent internet connection could do their web, programming and database work for them, no need at all to move.
