Stilton: Doing good, if a little drained. Got up in the small hours for some reason and have felt a bit sluggish ever since. Killed off the downloads at last, and that might be a part of the problem: a few days stuck in front of the screen watching games download isn't exactly exciting :-)

How about yourself?

I've got about a dozen alphabetical folders left to put on one of the externals (I like backup of my backup, just in case-case) and I'm done. Saying that, some of the folders have big gig counts, but without downloading to compete with the process feels fairly quick. I am definitely going on holiday after this :-)

When the copying's done I'm going to go Q.U.B.Ey for a while, I think.

And then maybe F.E.A.R.

I seem to like G.A.M.E.S. with full S.T.O.P.S. all over the P.L.A.C.E.
Went out for a walk and took a shower with alternating temperatures, which successfully calmed my brain. Tonight's game will be The Sims 3, because Owl told me to :-p

Haven't tried Q.U.B.E., but F.E.A.R. is one of my personal favourites. Also a big fan of No One Lives Forever 2: A spy in H.A.R.M.'s Way, and Contract J.A.C.K. (same developers as F.E.A.R.) S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is great too :-)

Yeah been a huge star trek nerd since I was a little kid. Also love the pc games, been playing starship creator a lot.

FearfulSymmetry: There are none. xD Just whatever I can come up with that's literary enough to be passable. I was originally going to do something in the field of premodern literature, which is what I did for my bachelor's thesis, but I can't think of anything right now. So I'm shifting towards more modern literature. I'd like to do something about women in literature, so maybe in Victorian novels/gothic romance. I'd really really like to do women in science fiction (or alternatively dystopian fiction) but I'm not sure they'll give me a pass on that.
Hmm... that actually sounds like a really interesting topic.

Just a quick hello. Been awful at keeping up with things here. I'm pages behind, but while I can gather my thoughts enough to say hello, I figured I ought to. Things are okay, just been in space. Thanks for the computer advice a couple of you gave last time I popped in over the weekend! I'll be catching up from there once my brainparts want to cooperate more.

Uhm....that sounds really annoying..but i guess i get to the essay writing as well...sooner rather than later :P
I'm quite good - just pre-ordered some books in our university library about post-colonialism and post-growth economy :)

My professors have just abandoned all other forms of testing in favor of the essay. Essays, essays, essays ... that's all I seem to be doing these days. xD It's starting to wear a bit thin.

Ah, I see, are you planning to write on that?
