CarrionCrow: Wouldn't worry about the insanity thing. Everyone is crazy, it's just a matter of degree.

If you're not sitting at your computer idly wondering when they're going to come out with "Talk To Yourself Day" in between telling a digital polar bear that if he cheapshots you one more time, you're going to rip his spine out of his ass? There might be people who are crazier. =)
Huh... That is actually a bit reassuring :-)
I hope the polar bear behaves himself. Not so sure I'd want to see this rectal spinectomy. Sounds a bit brutal ;-p

Empress_Owl: 200th anniversary of Napoleon being exiled ?... lol :D
Let's go for the blind Americans Equality day... why only Americans, by the way ? >:-| what about the other countries, you selfish peanut butter eaters ?... I vote for an International Blind People Equality Day :-)
I dunno why. Apparently Obama named it, so blame ElT.
I like your idea. I vote for "International" too :-)
Hi there! *hugs and waves*

My wife doesn't have to work today, so I took a day off too. We're considering taking the kids to some museum or exhibition in the afternoon. Only hindrance is that it's really raining cats and dogs here.

Save a cat for me! Or two or three cats...

If you decide to take a trip, stay safe on the roads! We just recently had about two weeks of heavy rain (to the point of flooding) where I'm living and driving became a real chore even during the day.

CarrionCrow: Yeah, you noticed the mechanical similarities. I noticed that chunks of the game felt like Puzzle Quest while going through it. Would have preferred if the the move restriction wasn't there at all, it made the end game puzzles very samey feeling.
I can't think when there is a countdown timer that screams "You lose" when it goes 00:00.
Actually I prefer a turn limit over some kind of time limit. I was afraid of the "final puzzles", but since there you just have to be quick enough to compete with the constantly dropping score to win, but don't lose if your score drops to zero, it was manageable for me.
Actually I found those puzzles a pretty hilarious experience, frantically matching symbols and trying to stay in "the flow" with that... um... voice-over...

But I agree that the game gets a little grindy, especially if you want to unlock everything, ask every questions, buy every gift...

No trip needed, I live in the city and we go everywhere by tram, bus or bicycle. We don't even have a car. :-)

Awesome! Have fun if you go out!

and I'm now wondering if my cold is something other than a common cold, as I'm having an episode of cold chills despite the temperature being just fine. Fun!

Ho, nice plans !! :))
A museum or exhibition sounds great, especially if the weather outside is awful...
Have a great day !! **big hugs**

In my case, chills most if the time mean one if these:
- fever rises
- I'm really tired
- I'm hypoglycaemic

*get well hugs*

*Big return hugs*

Have to tidy the place a little before we go. Especially the kitchen looks like a battlefield...

That's about the same amount of time our forces of chaos had to gather their strength :-)

Empress_Owl: Ho, so you also like to burn things to the ground... we really should make a club, we are many :)
How long do you sleep at (nights, or whatever) ? :)
I'm doing good, thanks !!
**Pass Crow a big owly mug of warm coffee**
Everyone needs a hobby. ;)

Depends. Sometimes up for days, when it's not full insomnia, sleep ranges from 2-10 hours.

Good. =)

They are now...more or less. Finally managed to shoot them before they mauled me to death.

Understandable. The timer can be extremely distracting. You end up spending more time focusing on that than the puzzle.

Yeah, the last stage sections were pretty easy. If nothing else, I'd eventually get a cascade that kept the score high enough that it wouldn't drop much before being able to get more matches.

If you got 100 percent completion on that one, you have more patience than I did. Once every person's path was completed, plus the secret characters, there wasn't any reason to stick around in the game world.

Also, that sounds like a fun time you've got planned. Hope you and yours enjoy everything. =)

Actually I doubt it. I've now encountered the goddess and I feel my motivation has dwindled. But we'll see, since it's one of these games that can be played for 15 minutes and it's not very large, so no reason to wipe it off the HDD right now.
The other secret characters - I've not met them yet. I looked up how to get them, but really? The ways are really obscure. I mean, getting the strange device could be found out, since the fairy hints that she likes dirty magazines... but the rest? Who buys a goldfish to throw it away?
*hugs everyone*

The secret character bits aren't great. The one with sand wasn't hard to figure out, but when the game wants you to do something in an exact way while saying nothing about it? Recipe for frustration. And yes, the fish thing was also pretty bad. Completely lucked out on that one, no skill or thought to it.

If you're at the goddess, you're just about done. If you don't care about the extras, 4 more puzzles from start to finish and it's game complete.
