CarrionCrow: If you'd bought Hunie Pop and expected Puzzle Quest, you would have been disappointed. Hunie Pop is based around a timed match-3 mechanic
Oh eww yeah - seeing inventory, stat based stuff, accumulating different "blocks" for different effect and a conversation mechanic is what made me think PQ but timed is a no way.

And Jays are going to the ALCS. Let's see who they'll play...

These ballparks have been INSANE - I can't remember so many series where the crowd was so amped up. Numerous times over the last week or so I've had people say "I didn't know basketball was on" because of how loud / intense the noise was.
These Puzzle Quest games sound good - where can I get hold of them, preferably as DRMless as possible?
I am sleepy. :p
Well, looks like I'll fall asleep with little trouble tonight, which is more than welcome. Already dozing off at my keyboard.
Good evenight, everyone! *hugs, waves, helmet tips, and polite nods to everyone*
See you another time (probably tomorrow) :-)

I played it on the console - the 360. Xbox used to push "smaller" games under the "Arcade" label - since jumping back into PC gaming I haven't followed the consoles as much so I don't know if you can get them on the current gen consoles as well.

*edit to add I just realized what your avatar is - that's amazing!

Pretty incredible. If you do a search for pumpkin art/carving etc. you'll find some truly amazing stuff.

Do it.....do it...do it.....do it......

Puzzle Quest 1 is available through Gamersgate. Wish I'd checked that beforehand...

Yeah, you noticed the mechanical similarities. I noticed that chunks of the game felt like Puzzle Quest while going through it. Would have preferred if the the move restriction wasn't there at all, it made the end game puzzles very samey feeling.

Looks the same as this....

Although I can't see any mention of DRM. And it installs some kind of app.

Does Gamersgate use an app/client?

Yes, it does. Haven't ever used that site, the mention of an app makes me nervous.

Not sure on that one. I can check.

Additional - the site says it's client-free, and Puzzle Quest is listed there as DRM-free. No experience with them directly, though.

I've wondered about them before. There must be someone around here who's used them. I'd rather be sure before installing loads of shit in my machine.

Thanks for checking ;)

Makes sense to me.

Not a problem. It's a fun game.
ok. I'm gonna give a harry level a go in miss take. wish me luck.
This is useful as regards GG and DRM.
