True. It's a hit and miss approach, to be sure. And you're right, they probably will do that since it's the easiest course of action to take.

I lost interest in Metal Gear Solid after playing 2.

Same feeling goes with most Shonen manga and anime,especially long runners like One Piece,Naruto and the like. But Jojo,Fist of the North Star and even Apocalypse Zero(yes,it's a shonen believe it or not) are quite interesting reads.
