moonshineshadow: Sounds like a quite logical reason to me. So while I appreciate you being here on the forum more, go out and exercise :P

Stilton: I can still muster a laugh at 4am - thanks!

I've got to start going for long walks. I usually end up yomping and striding along like I need the loo, and by the time I get home I'm breathing like a steam train. Its quite enjoyable, actually, and makes good thinking time as well as good body time.
*big hug* Good :-)

These walks sound lovely. Perhaps I should consider something like that for the weekends.

Stilton: Yes, the illusion would've been a tad compromised :-) What are you playing? I've got Torchlight and Plants v Zombies ticking over between downloads and other fun things.
Right now, it's a mix of finishing off Hunie Pop, getting back to Dex and You Must Build A Boat, then whatever comes to mind. Maybe Max Payne. It's been quite a while since I played the first two.

I find them really enjoyable. You can really do a lot of mental spring cleaning. I set myself a rhythm, often with a piece of music in my head, and then I'm off. I've purged loads of frustrations and had a good workout in the process. It feels instinctive - when I get a but twitchy its usually a sign that I need to go out for a yomp. If I'm still up when it starts to get light I might go out - I love the cool (virtual) silence of an early morning.

You Must Build a Boat was intended as an expansion for 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, wasn't it? Is it still match 3, or some kind of variant?

Yeah morning walks sound great. But I am not sure I could convince myself to get up that early on the weekends :D
And during the week the annoying time has started where I leave for work when it is just starting to get light and in the evenings it is already getting dark.

From what I've read it was, yes. The guy spent so long on it that he ended up with a new game rather than an update.

It's still timed match-3. That's the core of the game.

Dark in the morning and dark when you get home is a bit depressing, although dusk this evening was incredible - lots of similarly-sized pieces of pink and purple cloud assembled like a jigsaw puzzle. It spread for miles and looked like something solid. A real treat.

I'd walk whenever you feel like it. Regular routines can become a drag and put you off, so I'd go out when you feel the urge and do it like that, as often as you fancy.

It sounds like he's typecast himself as the match 3 guy, which could turn out to be a good thing. The basic game could become more sophisticated as he works on each new title and evolve into someting really different. Or he could get completely bored and take up tennis.

Going on a walk whenever I want would be nice, but realistic are only weekends, so it is not like there is much choice if I want to do that :D

It would be a nice weekend thing, if time permits. I tend to walk when I feel like it and it fits in with whatever I happen to be doing. If I don't have the time then I wait until I do. Its all very relaxed, not like a regime or anything. If I'm short on time then I try to fit in a shorter walk - there are no rules. If there were I'd be walking daily, eating lots and sleeping like a log (stone) :-)

Sunrise is at 7.27am here, 2 3/4 hours away. I think my 30% wakefulness has dropped to 20%, so I might not make a walk. I'm currently scanning and downloading (and talking to a friend :-)) so you never know, I might get there :-)

I normally don't have anything planned on weekends, so I could go for a walk whenever I feel like it on that days :-)
But yeah, doing something like this on a schedule spoils all the fun, so I'll just have to hope the weather will be ok so that I feel motivated :P

Here the sunrise is in a little less than two hours. But by then I'll just be arriving at work :D

Just my semi-regular virus scan. I do them as a matter of (sort of) routine, a habit I've had since I started computing. I like to keep the system clean and tweak it to make sure its tuned. I care about its health more than I do my own!

Oh yeah, a virus scan is always a good idea just to be on the safe side. I also tend to do that. Sadly my computer now has a problem I probably can't fix. Seems like the graphic card is finally resigning. I had problems with with for months now, but they are happening more and more often.

I normally get up at six thirty during the week.

I had a graphics card die a while ago - the monitor went all psychedelic and 70's before it quit completely. Do you use a laptop? I use a desktop as I like control over the machine's innards. If something dies I can replace it and shift things around if I need to. Laptops are cramped inside so the options are fewer.

Six thirty would be a push for me. Are you a morning person, or disciplined?

I also have a desktop pc. Always had one. So it is quite easy to replace the graphics card. After I got through the annoying part of looking for a suitable one :P

No I am not a morning person, I hate getting up early. But not really any choice ;-)

It could be an opportunity to up the PC's specification, if you felt like it. A gradual improvement throughout would give it a better chance of living with modern games. I don't run anything with top end graphics, but it is nice to have a machine that can cope with most games. Nearly all of GOG's stuff is fairly undemanding, which is great.

If I win the lottery I'll send you enough money to retire and become a full time gamer - I don't like getting up early, either ;-)

Yeah, I would look into upgrading. One reason why I have not done anything yet. Not motivated enough to look for the parts. And also for a good distributor since there was no reason to buy any new parts yet since I came to Switzerland so I don't know any. And since the graphics card was still working most of the time the last months it was no problem. But seems like I am slowly reaching the point of no choice :D
But there would also be an advantage. I could play Witcher 3, my mum told me it was a lot of fun.

*big hug* Winning the lottery would surely be nice (not that I am playing). It is not like I don't like my job. Most of the time it is interesting, but yeah, getting up early can be a bit annoying.
And I need to get ready for work now. So see you later ;-)
