Good morning to everyone who's popped up since I clicked over. =)

Feel weirdly tired though I've been up 2 hours playing wasteland 2.

I'm left wondering...is Daikatana really so bad that it's not worth $1.49?

Maybe I have a greater than average tolerance of B level FPS, but it doesn't look so bad to me. I get that it didn't come anywhere close to living up to its hype, but that (to me) doesn't make it a bad game, and I've enjoyed a lot of games that critics hated to be fair.

How about Total Overdose: A Gunslinger's Tale In Mexico? It looks like it could be "dumb fun" but also looks like it could be too dumb to enjoy. Despite liking the Saints Row series, I generally have a pretty low tolerance for dumb random humor.

Then there is the Legacy of Kain series. Am I correct in thinking that GOG is missing the first game in that series? If so, how important is that first game?

Anyway, I hope the time of day is treating all of you well!

Howdy N2T3! :) And good morningiums!
Total Overdose.... I bought that on friday from the sale... It's quite dumb fun... I'm not sure how to get a controller to work with it though. I think it would have been a lot better with controller. I'm guessing you could get a program like x360ce and make WSAD keys correspond to a controller's directional presses.. haven't tried it yet.
Basically you just go around shooting stuff. There's some kind of plot but not sure what it is, I skipped it as much as I could :) Oh, and there's a widescreen patch and that works nicely... hopefully with all computers.

Legacy of Kain: do you mean the first isometric game from late nineties by Silicon Knights or something else? I think at least that one is tough one to get rights to...

Oh and to continue the b-film game hunt: found this (from steam... boo! :p ) http://store.steampowered.com/app/313870/ - the price is a bit nasty... but it looks rather nice... and this chic has the smarts to keep her clothes on... sorry lula (or whatever the name was) .. :p

oh and while I'm raging about it, here's a wishlist entry: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/a_vampyre_story

Yeah, good morning! Thanks again! :)
It's an awesome game. Playing with 3/4 difficulty, "Ranger" and it's still a lot easier than Albion :) bloody Albion, I'll get you someday! :p

Was asking myself the same question and bought it in the end - at least to give it a try :)
Hoping for it being a decent FPS...

I played Total Overdose years ago - but i unfortunately don't remember the quality of its humour...although i do remember that i had fun with it...

Doing quite good here - looks like i beat the illness. How are you?

You're welcome. That's really good. Only tried it for some minutes thus...but i'm looking forward to play it....oh and Albion is also waiting :)
Good thing is that you could play Wasteland 2 again - after the release of the Director's Cut - which you should also get for free :)

Not feeling too well today. Stomach is bothering me (nothing new), as is some random mental stuff (also nothing new.) Hopefully some ice and video games will be helpful...
Glad to hear you keep beating that plucking illness back to the depths of hell where it belongs :-)

Hey, I remember that one! Got it at release (for the same price that it is now.) Only played an hour or two, then forgot about it for some reason. I did enjoy it though. I'll have to dig that up and play it again.
Voted :-)

When in doubt, form your own conclusions. I've heard from numerous people that it's not good. Also, it's got AI companion problems, so that might drive you up a wall.

Picked up Total Overdose because it looked like a silly shooter game. Figuring at least some of the jokes will be groanworthy, but the action might make up for it.

As for Legacy of Kain...
Yeah, the first game's missing due to it being stuck in licensing hell. It sets the stage for the whole series, so its loss will be felt. But on the other hand, I can sum the whole thing up very quickly if you like. It's a spoiler that provides background info for the rest of the series. Your call on that one.
