In the 1.49 category... I started Hitman a while back (still need to finish) and have really been enjoying that. A nice stealth game, but I'm biased, being an Agent and all ;-)
Started Gex as well, and it is turning out to be a pretty fun platformer, I haven't got very far though.
I've heard great things about Anachronox, but it is still sitting in my backlog... Which makes my recommendations pretty useless :-p

And for anyone who doesn't have it - for crying out loud, get Deus Ex!!

No. The only way for homogeneity would be energy information exchange across the whole spectrum, reversing a few thermodynamic laws, or a massive entity of great "organized energy" acting on it (something bigger and more organized than the universe) (this was from something I read on Wikipedia about VSL theory). Black holes are just very large chunks of mass that have a few special properties due to their immense gravitational pull being able to pull everything into it (except its small amount of radiation it emits).

On that note, one of my old professors was big on black holes and differential equations. He had a few major discoveries behind his name in both fields. One day, he drove to work, took the bus home, then called the police b/c his car wasn't in his driveway. "Someone stole my car!" he said. The police looked everywhere for over a month.

One day, he forgot to take the bus home and took his car home (which, of course, was just parked in the parking lot). He got home and "Eureka! I found my lost car!"

Sometimes brilliant people lose focus on some basic life things. It's quite fun. :)

Anyway, back to point, black holes surrounding the known universe would not cause homogeneity in the CMB radiation. However, if the universe were surrounded by strippers and beer, that may have the desired effect.
IMHO, you have all the good ones. Save your $1.49 for another promo.
