ddickinson: I was only being playful. It is strange how many of you get colds and flu. I seem to remember a time when I was the only one not with cold or flu. It took me ages to make all the soup and dish it out. Although I think Endre liked the nurse costume. Come to think of it, I think he might have been faking been ill, just for that, and my awesome soup. :-)
I know ... but it's actually quite annoying to get ill around the same time (almost) every year...and i usually don't get ill that quick....

Hm....might be a possibility ;)

ElTerprise: Bonjour Owl *big hug*
How are you?
Bonjour ElT !!
So, you're still ill... I thought the bactericidal drug I sprayed on your face would be enough... :-\ pff !
I'm good ! \o/ first time in 12 days.
In the afternoon, I have a meeting with my colleague at one of our customer's (who produces fish sticks...). We already know we'll be yelled at :) but I don't care... hihi.
[happiness level : indestructible]

ddickinson: That means you get a badge! *goes to try to find it*

*big morning hug*

[gaming rambling]
Wooo!! I haven't seen that badge in so long! *instant smile* :-D

I'm really surprised by Wolfenstein3D's price. I mean... Really? I thought it came free with copies of Return to Castle Wolfenstein back when that was released. Meanwhile, The Elder Scrolls I and II are free with any Bethesda purchase :-p

I can imagine. With the exception of possibly fatal things like my current health stuff, I rarely get ill, especially not colds and flu. I hope you will be feeling better soon, at least until winter fully kicks in and the real flu and colds start. :-)

Empress_Owl: Good morning everyone !!
**Big happy hugs with coffee**
DD is back... this just made my day :))))))))))))))
**Massive morning hug with waffles**
How is the greatest Owl of all time doing today? :-)

It does seem strangely priced for such an older game. But at least the graphics are better than many modern games. ;-)

I do find it funny how people are with the pricing of games. So often they defend the price due to the cost of making the game, but as I said before, why should the customer care? Surly a game that offer little production value should not be charing the same or more than a game with high production values. I mean, how many new adventure games do we get with no voice actors, but they still ask a high price. Even adventure games made 20 years ago had voice actors.

Funnily enough i usually don't get ill during the winter (aside from minor colds)

That's great that you don't (or rarely) get ill - i'm slighty envious about that :)
But i hope you can leave your current health situation behind as soon as possible and be like that again :)
*big also get better soon hug*

Even plenty of free games and mods have voice acting. I recall one mod for Deus Ex, where the creator simply asked his friends to do some voice acting, and it turned out great. So that can't be entirely a cost issue... Then again, I don't know much about this stuff :-p

I understand voice actors cost money, but it's not like you are getting hollywood celebs to voice act the games. I think many don't as they don't have to. People give indies a free ride for a lot of things, things that would get AAA games slated. And yes the AAA games cost more, but that is not always the case. We have had many indie games that are nearly as expensive, and indie games in general seem to be going up in price, meanwhile the production value is not. If you are going to charge so much, then at least provide a decent standard. If games made over 20 years ago had features, then surly modern games should as well. As you said, even free games have things that others do not. I am not having a go at indie developers, but I just feel they have used the indie card too much to excuse a lot of bad practices, getting a free ride because they are "indie". For example, an adventure game in 2015 should have voice actors if they are charging a higher price for it, especially when you can get dozens of other adventure games that charge less, have full voice acting, and are often so much better, despite their age.
