Empress_Owl: Maybe he was cold... :D what color is he ? does he have a little name ?...
Yes, you're often busy :-p ... do you still have some time to play games at the moment ?
I'm ok... and happy to be there again :)
FearfulSymmetry: That's possible. He's suffering from an illness that means it's very hard for him to maintain a healthy weight, and he's definitely starting to get pretty skinny in his old age. I imagine it's harder for him to keep warm these days. Yes, you're often busy :-p ... do you still have some time to play games at the moment ?

He's a red cat, I've attached a picture so you can see him (and our dog as well). His name is Dikkie Dik, he's named after a Dutch children's book/cartoon cat. Ironically the name means as much as "fatty fat" and his cartoon counterpart is actually very fat, which is one thing our cat has never been in his life. :P
I do still play some games, but I haven't had a lot of time recently. I was thinking about playing one for a bit today, but I'm not quite sure what to play ... :P
We're happy to have you back as well! *big hug*

My cat would do that too, he would also hide behind furniture, wait until someone walks by and play-attack their legs. xD And he'd also go outside, roll onto his back as if he wants you to rub his tummy. Then as soon as you got close, he'd spring up run a few steps then do it again. lol

EndreWhiteMane: Beautiful cat, and a long haired Dachshund! I had one named Oscar for years and would love to have another some day. :-)
Thanks! Yes, my mother is very fond of them, which is why she insisted we get a dachshund. :P The dog is very sweet, doesn't have a mean bone in her body, except when it comes to her 'brother' (the dog of one of my mother's colleagues who we take care of a lot), because he's not allowed to touch any of her stuff. :P This picture was taken about a year ago when she was still quite young. Her fur has turned quite a bit more rough now and she can get very shaggy if she goes too long without a cut. :P pimpmonkey2382.313: My cat would do that too, he would also hide behind furniture, wait until someone walks by and play-attack their legs. xD And he'd also go outside, roll onto his back as if he wants you to rub his tummy. Yes, ours used to do that too! Only the attacking was usually without the playing part, he just likes inflicting pain. This cat is quite an evil little creature but we love him anyway. Haha, that game sounds like fun. Dikkie just wants us to rub his tummy forever, no interruptions allowed. :P

pimpmonkey2382.313: hahah max (or as we nicknamed him, maximus) wouldn't try to hurt with the attacking thing but it sure would startle you sometimes. lol
That's sweet. :P They like to play their games. We keep telling people Dikkie is not a nice cat, although it's certainly true he's mellowed in his old age. He's much nicer now than he used to be, but he can still be quite aloof. We were really surprised by how well he adapted to the dog, though. He's been an 'only cat' for most of his life, so to speak, as we only got the dog two years ago. He loves bossing her around and asserting his authority, but he never actually hurts her and he's actually a lot more considerate of her than he is of us.

They're both adorable! :) I'm glad I decided to sit back down and check the internets before a nap! I was just about to see if the wonderful trainer who has Sarge at the moment happened to have her webcam working so I could check in on him... looks like she doesn't have it up, at least not at the moment, but this pic (and the pet talk) made me smile. I didn't realize it would be this hard to not have him around. :)

pimpmonkey2382.313: Maximus liked the family, but would rarely purr or anything unless it was certain people petting him. He also had an odd habit of every morning at 6AM of jumping into my bed, purring as loudly as he can and licking my ear. lol I'd wake up all "What the?"
I'm pretty sure Dikkie loves us on some level, and he does like to be petted, but he's not very affectionate otherwise. The most he'll do is curl up against my leg when I'm in bed and sleep there for a while. He does purr very loudly, though! In fact, he's the loudest cat I know. His meowing can bring down armies. We suspect it's his Siamese heritage. :P Unfortunately his loud and frequent meowing has a cry wolf effect. We ignored him for about twenty minutes last week when he was on one of his tirades, only to discover later that he'd somehow gotten his front paws caught up in a scarf hanging from a coat hanger and had been forced to stand up on his hind legs for all that time. :P EndreWhiteMane: Funny that your dog is so docile, mine was the smallest animal in the house and also the most fearless.
The Collie, Cocoa Lab and the 15lb tomcat were terrified of him. :-)
She's super loving. Whenever any of us feel down she'll come to cuddle and cheer you up. She likes making friends with other dogs and neighborhood cats (who often aren't fond of the idea of befriending a dog, so that mostly backfires :P). She can be extremely fierce when it comes to her 'brother' dog, though, so there's that. That dog is older and larger but she won't take shit from him. Dikkie intimidates her, though, probably because she's known him since she was a very small puppy, and he must have appeared quite big and mean then. He made it a point to eat some of her food before he allowed her to eat it, just to assert himself. He still likes playing around and washing his paws in her drinking bowl. The Collie, Cocoa Lab and the 15lb tomcat were terrified of him. :-)
But yeah, it's usually the small ones, right? They can be super tough. :P

It's always really hard to have to miss your pets. I hate going back home to my own place at the end of the weekend and saying goodbye to the both of them. But at least Sarge is in really good hands! Maybe it's even something of a holiday for him. :)

Good to see you as well! And thanks, I'm actually feeling much better today already. Having had a full day of rest yesterday and a good night's sleep really made a huge difference, and my wife informed me I'm not allowed to do any cleaning, just resting, so I'm enjoying being sleepy and lazy. :) It's always really hard to have to miss your pets. I'm glad you got to spend some time with your cat on your lap. The pup most often sleeps at my feet when we're napping on the couch together, but sometimes he'll wake up out of nowhere and come plop his head across my lap or chest and go back to sleep, and it's one of my favorite things.

That's really good to hear! I'll keep my fingers crossed you'll continue to improve, then! :) And yes, having a restful day can be very nice. :) I'm glad you got to spend some time with your cat on your lap. It quite freaked me out at first, because usually when our cat comes that close he's planning to attack. But he was really sweet last night and I think he spent about half an hour that way.
Yes, that's definitely one of my favourite things as well. Our dog will often come to sit on our laps as well, especially when it's cold. She can sleep on my mother's lap for hours at a time if given the chance. ;) She's very warm and I always feel pleasantly sleepy when she comes to cuddle up on my lap.

Hello!
You could try drinking some slightly salted water..? You know like salt binds the liquids into your body a bit... but the salts need to be some good quality.... not a doctor, but that's what I heard..
