Considering my last save was from more than a year ago, I decided to start from the beginning.

7 hours into the game and I've only just reached Vizima.

That's about what it takes me to finish Dark Souls with a Berserk build (two-handing big-ass sword and no shield).

Geralt's friends accents are a schizophrenic mix of nationalities.

That's The Witcher.
I don't know how many hours I have into the game but my last save is at the start of chapter 3 if I remember well.
It's on hold for the time being. :-)

Day was quite nice. Met some friends on the evening but aside from that only some more tree cutting :)

Yes...i didn't really understand what your new title meant at first but now it's pretty obvious and i guess it need to be changed a lot :)

I find naff accents a really basic mistake if it takes away from the 'realism' or immersion of a film or game. Its as bad as not doing research properly. If you're going to try to convince someone they've entered another reality, at least have the sense to make it a convincing reality.

I'm having an average kind of Saturday. GOGing, gaming, eating, watching some TV. Its been pleasantly relaxing. Now the house move isn't happening it seems life has taken on a much less stressful feel. And I can live with that :-)

Its actually a blessing. It was taking ages and going nowhere and stuck us in a deep and stressful rut for far too long. To have it over for a while (we'll probably try again next year) feels really good.
