FearfulSymmetry: That's right! It should be socially acceptable to look grumpy on pictures. ;)

CarrionCrow: It's totally acceptable to look grumpy in a picture.

If you look grumpy, it's probably because you weren't in the mood to have your picture taken. If someone takes it anyway, they should be happy they got it at all, regardless of facial expression.
I tend to look like how I feel at the time, which is why my family gave up taking pictures of me years ago.

This 'smile because I'm pointing a camera at you' thing gets rapidly annoying - I'd far rather show the normality of how I feel at that moment and see the same thing in others. If nothing else its far more interesting.

FearfulSymmetry: Hahaha. :P And yep, I keep misreading it too! It's a weird title anyhow.
:D
It is. Well GOG loves doing puns with their weekend promo titles :)

Yeah, a little too much sometimes. :P Although I laughed at their Jack Keane is life thing.

FearfulSymmetry: Definitely true, but try telling that to overzealous family members. :P I can't go to an amusement park without my mother pressuring me to bring back pictures of us on rides so she can hand them to my grandmother.
Did that around age 13. Made sure to avoid some five generations photo thing with relatives. After that, it didn't come up very often.

Yes - but even then it still often makes me grin about the title. Haven't seen that earlier.....that's really funny...but Jack Keane 2 is still really expensive even with that price drop

Agreed. A picture with a fake smile is like a love letter written when you actually hope the person gets hit by a speeding bus that's on fire. (Well, in my case, anyway.)

And yes, the "Smile!" thing gets very old, very fast. It always goes the same way.

Annoyance shoving a camera in my face - "Smile!"
Voice in my head as I turn away from the lens - "Go fuck yourself!"

Yeah, I considered grabbing it for a laugh but it's too expensive for that. I'd rather spend my money on things I'll actually enjoy.

Same here...which makes that promo rather uninteresting for me because i own everything from it i'm interested in....

WHAT? You don't own "The Keane 2"?? And yet you feel you can walk around in this thread like you own the place?
What the hell??!?!?!?!?/

Myep, me too. But that's good, since I already spent my money on TV series.

*drops to the ground in penitence* I never meant to offend the great Keane! I am well aware of the sacred customs surrounding the ancient Keaning and I humbly beg the great master's forgiveness ...

... or not. :P
Was Keane 2 the dread spawn of the now legendary Keaning?

I must've blocked it out like some awful childhood trauma, because I can't remember.

Believe it or not I never did manage to get it the first few times I tried.
I think I'm the only person in history who actually WANTED to buy it and kept missing it. :-)
Haven't played it yet of course. :)

Keane 2 was the source of the whole Keaning thing. Don't feel badly about forgetting, it was boring as all hell. If not for the combo of high price and sales format, it'd be just another run of the mill point and click.

Sounds good. I'm curious. What series do you spent your money on?
