Stilton: Hi Miss Symmetry ;-)

How are you? Its been a long time since we typed.

I read your story today in Crew's giveway - very nicely written, I must say.

I also saw your picture among those who posted images of themselves. Its nice to put some faces with names ;-)

FearfulSymmetry: Hi Stilton! :) Yep, it's definitely been a really long time! How have you been? I have been pretty good. Busy, but good. :P

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! It was a good exercise as I hadn't written in a while.

It definitely is! I saw your picture with the awesome viking horns as well! If you want to see a more normal picture of me feel free to ask as well, the one I posted on here is not really how I look on a normal day, but I didn't really want to put a close up one out in the open. :P
Don't be shy ;-)

If you'd like to put up another picture I'm sure everyone would like to see it, but only if you're comfortable.

I kind of thought what the hell, the more demented I look, the better, which fits in with how some of the forum see me, I think. I used to be horrendously shy, but now I'd rather make a fool of myself than not do anything at all ;-)

You ought to do more writing, maybe even to supplement your future studies. I really thought your story was very good. Disappearing into an imaginative world is too rewarding to miss out on.

Hi Moon!

It sounds like your day has been a long one. Pull up a chair, let me pour you a drink and let the conversation relax you. Don't ask me for any pasta, though - it might be dangerous...

That sounds really nice *big hug* And don't worry you'll probably never see me asking for pasta, while it is sometimes nice it is not really my thing ;-)

It's not so much shy as not wanting everyone to know who I really am v.s. what my internet persona is. But I have sent my picture to the people I know on here through the chat, I can do that for you too if you're curious. :P

Yeah, that's definitely good! I joined my high school's theatre society back in the day and that helped me get over any lingering shyness I might have had. Now I won't shut up. I suppose it's a good thing I'm studying to become a teacher. :P

I do write a novel during the National Novel Writing Month in November each year. I've been toying with the idea of getting last year's book self-published, although it needs some more editing first. And yes, I agree that it's a lot of fun. I started out writing fanfiction at some point, then began to write about ideas of my own. :)

Good move - we should survive the evening OK now ;-)

moonshineshadow: tasty caffeinated soda? Hmm why not ;-)
It works, only without the lovely acidic feel you get after drinking a few pots of coffee back to back.
avatar
Stilton: Give us his email - we can each send him a persuasive message... ;-) Four to six months isn't long to have a little cat around in not ideal circumstances. Make father owl do some feeding - he'll change his mind.

I'm glad the little fellow's doing well. Also that you're managing to keep him going in the right direction.

+10 for Nurse Bete!
Hey... no, he doesn't even want to touch him... he's not an owln he's a wombat... pretty stubborn, lonely creature... who makes funny square craps.
Thanks for the kind words...

Since I don't drink coffee I can't really compare that :P

That's interesting. I did NaNoWriMo a few years ago and was amazed at how quickly and easily my novel emerged. The plot really did talk itself into life (like Ray Bradbury said, its something you discover after you have written) and when it came to the end I felt genuinely tearful at having to say goodbye to my characters. The NaNoWriMo experience is really worth taking part in - I'm glad you reminded me as I think I'll do it again this year ;-) Thanks!

CarrionCrow: Good evening. =)

Can't complain here. Sorry to hear that your partner wasn't big on the new cat idea. Big problem with loss right there, not many people want to keep suffering through it, despite the good times that can happen before the loss occurs again.
That's not his excuse... He wants a new cat !!! but in a bit more than 6 months !?........ wtf !!! >:'-(

Oh fun! You should give me your user name if you participate again this year, I can add you as a writing buddy! Yep, NaNo is really awesome, it's the only time of year I actually get some serious writing done. :P I love having a deadline, it's the motivation I need to keep writing. I'm definitely a planning kind of person, though - I tend to make an outline before NaNo starts so I know exactly what I have to write. Without an outline I have trouble bringing my stories to a coherent ending. :P

I'm trying to picture what he looks like now...wombat...stubborn...lonely...square---square craps?

I'm sure he's a really nice person ;-) Pets aren't for everyone, I know - having a teenage daughter is bad enough...
