NoNewTaleToTell: Perfect time to just zone out and listen to some jams, I can dig it. Truth be told that can be just as relaxing as a few hours of sleep, at least to me. How's Sarge doing these days?

I've been visiting my parents, they have a Great Pyrenees that has taken to me. Cool dog, he thinks it's funny to sit on people's feet....it IS pretty funny but he weighs a hundred or so pounds, maybe that's why it's so funny, ha.
It's quite an effective rest, that's for sure. I use prolonged "waking naps" with my headphones on and my chair reclined as a "sub" for sleep quite regularly. If I get sleepy but don't act on it right away, it will often pass, and I'll have to wait for another "window" so to speak. Should another not happen by, a night relaxed with good music playing comes in a very close second (and, quite honestly, often wins first place as far as what I'd actually prefer to be doing.) ;)

Sarge is doing pretty well! His growth has slowed, which is a relief (at just 4 weeks old, we had two vets guess his final weight, and the guesses were from 65 to 100lbs. He's stopped growing for the moment at about 35lbs, and the most recent guess was that he likely won't get more than about 50 overall. My wife is tiny and was terrified of the idea of having to try to walk a dog almost as heavy as herself, so seeing that he may not grow quite so large has been nice. And he does the same "sitting on the feet" thing, it's so strange. At times it seems like he's sitting at my feet to show me that he's at attention and "standing by me" or protecting me or something, but at times it just seems like a game to him to sit on them when I'm trying to walk or something. :)

Its nice that you have Sarge to change the subject, as it were. He must be a pleasant distraction and a useful constant when things are more down than up. Not to mention your wife, of course... ;-)

Hello there! Long time no see! It is indeed nice to have him to focus on. It's hard to think about anything negative when you've got the sweetest puppy dog eyes looking up at you, wanting you to throw something for him or cuddle up. :) The lady, of course, is about as instrumental in keeping me sane as oxygen is in keeping me alive. I've got my two best friends right here at home, and that makes it really damn hard to give the more stressful parts of life much weight, or even too much thought sometimes. :)
I hope the "dance of life" begins to work out better soon! I feel that way often... and if I dance the dance of life the way I actually dance with my moving parts, I'm in a real world of trouble going forward. ;) I hope things improve, and that they always continue to do so!

Stilton: Ah, the furniture talkers - we've encountered a few of those recently. They've tried to sell us houses while knowing that any sane person (a non-furniture talker) wouldn't piss on the place if it was on fire. On one it cost us a fair chunk of money to have a survey which discovered the property was full of asbestos. Who would buy a house full of asbestos? I mean I look like a Viking, not someone who converses with sofas. And another couple decided at the last minute that they didn't want to sell, and this after they had advertised the house, allowed us to view it and to make an offer. There are more talkers to furniture out there than I had previously imagined...
Sounds like an assortment of dumb/lazy asses trying to offload their garbage pit/deathtrap, and a couple flakes who didn't care about wasting people's time.

I can see why you've been having so much "fun" with the process.

Hello there! Yes, back home and in my comfort zone. :) I haven't been given word yet on how often I'll have to do these, but was just told "it could be weekly for up to about 8 weeks," depending on how many infusions it takes to get me back to safe levels again. I am honestly more tired than I've been since the first year or two I became physically ill and was just exhausted from it wearing me out... It's not often I get truly sleepy, but when the waves of tired hit the past weeks, I can't quite control whether or not I stay awake through it. And wow, I've been so weak I just stopped putting any creamer in my coffee, as the carton of soy milk was getting too heavy to get from the fridge to the coffee cart and still have the strength to pour some in my cup without making a mess from shaking too much. Mind you, I've never been the type to work out and have those "muscle" things, so it shouldn't be too much of a shock, but it just feels so strange and curious. :)
I should be getting a call today (hopefully) to let me know when I go back for another infusion, and whether or not just a couple visits will have me back in order for a time.
I hope you are having a lovely morning! Aside from the tired and weird joint aches, I'm feeling a bit giddy and silly this morning. :)

Life can be a pain in the crack, but I refuse to give in and lose my sense of humour. If you can't join them, beat them, is the way I look at it. Any self respecting horned Nordic twit would rather bellow laughter than submit to life's unwanted swipes.

What's that on your head, Bete?

And why the hazard stripe? Have you suddenly become dangerous...?

I always thought you were so cute....

It does get rather draining without the ability to laugh at it all. It's good that you've got the better approach.

Sounds like a good way to deal with it.

It's a safety helmet, because this place is full of traps and bugs :)
overwhelmed GOG bears, empty pages, the chat still made firefox crash quite badly a couple days ago... so a big ape named Sachy organized a giveaway in which people were asked to wear some safety tape and stuff on their avatar for 2 weeks :) it has been quite successful, as you can see.
I think I could remove it now... ?... I dunno...
So cute ?... me ?... :"| you make me blush !...
Speaking about cute people, I bet you didn't see, but most of the regular people of the thread showed their face here a few days ago !! that was really cool to see how people you've been chatting to for months, actually look like !! :D
Ah now it works....

The picture sharing was so fun! I wish this forum was easier to search, as I was trying to go back and find that a couple days ago and couldn't seem to. I loved getting a glimpse at some of the faces behind everyone's avatars! It really added an odd but neat new level of the feeling of knowing some of you, which was really cool. :)

Yeah, it was awesome ! it made things less "virtual" for me. :) Not that they were ! but as you said, it gave me the impression to have "met" people, in a more concrete way.
The picture sharing started here (hoping you have the same settings than me)... 14th September :))
