I've mentioned it in another thread but...

Am I the only one who after reading Dune thought. Why does everyone make such a big deal about it?
Good afternoon/evening, everyone. =)

Hopefully you're all doing fairly well today.

Also, it's extremely good to see D back from the shittiness of the hospital.

Definitely. The hospital experience usually isn't very good at all. Better to recover at home whenever possible.

LaPtiteBete: Honestly, I like it :) it reminds me (just a little, but still) my beloved David Bowie on his 72's album Ziggy Stardust (once again : just a little bit, don't stone me to death).
Ooh, another favorite of mine! I'm pretty sure David Bowie and Syd Barrett were both pretty big influences on the singer/songwriter from Destroyer. Part of why I'm such a fan of his music, I think. :)

Not much... and you ??
I see that Contrast is on sale over on Steam for $3.74. It's a really cool game, a platformer that relies on switching between "realms" mid-jump. That real draw of the game is the 20s setting with a slight touch of jazzy cabaret noir and the surreal, great art direction and a really fantastic soundtrack. Good story too that isn't your usual run of the mill "go save the world" stuff. My biggest issue with it was somewhat annoying checkpoints (there are very few of them per level) and the realm switching can be a bit too finicky at times. Still it's well worth four or five hours of your time.

The team behind Contrast are working on a new game that has gotten a fair bit of a buzz called We Happy Few.

Abyss Odyssey (made by ACE Team, the folks behind the Zeno Clash series) is also on sale (for $2.99). It's a neat little rogue-like side scrolling beat 'em up game. Art wise it's stunning, the Steam screenshots don't do it justice, it's absolutely gorgeous. As a fighting game, it's pretty okay. I never truly got the hang of it, but it apparently takes a lot of inspiration from Super Smash Bros, which I never really played. I wish they had converted the amazing melee system of Zeno Clash into Abyss Odyssey but oh well. You level up your character as you go on and if your character gets knocked out then you get to use a secondary character that can go to a Altar and bring your main character back, if you fail at that and your secondary character gets knocked out then you start back at the beginning, though you save your character progress. Neat little mechanic. If you like Super Smash Bros type fighting games then you'll probably like this more than I did, but I did enjoy it myself.
