akhliber: Hello there! An upper endoscopy is just a camera going through the mouth to get to your insides, and it's done while you're either asleep or in a twilight. As I don't respond to "twilight" sedation (due to the medications I'm on daily) they always put me completely to sleep for procedures like this, so there's very little discomfort involved. I'm a wee bit sore from yesterday, as they did some biopsies while they were in there, and the injections can leave some soreness for a couple days. All in all though, very little pain involved :)

I'll always take a cup of coffee. I've already got one in front of me, but I do have two hands. ;)
Brrr... It sounds scary anyway. Glad you're not bothered too much by the side-effects :)
**Pass Akh another mug of coffee** that'll make 3 !

FearfulSymmetry: Yep, it's all right, despite some super boring reading that I have to finish. And I just heard my sister is dropping out of high school, which I do understand because it's really hard for her with her chronic illness, but at the same time I am concerned for her.

How are you, Agent?
Ho... not cool for your sister... :'-(
** run away because it wasn't my conversation **

EndreWhiteMane: Doing OK today so far, still trying to adjust to the new meds. :/
Are you having a good day?
Yes, I read you'll still need a few weeks to figure out if they work well or if you should rather change again... it will have been a long time... I hope it will worth the wait !
...
and tomorrow it will be 3 weeks since DD left, right ?... :'-[ **sigh**.
I'm having a good day, yes ! not very stressful... :) now that I'm done with the "phoning" part >__o

Hm... I unfortunately know a bit about dropping out. I've always regretted missing out on social stuff, and seeing my friends less often. I didn't regret missing the actual academic stuff, but then, our schools are not that stellar.
I hope she can get an equivalency diploma or something. If so, try to make sure she gets it soon, and doesn't wait several years and forget too much of what she learned :-|
And of course I hope the best for her and her illness :-(

I'm doing good :-)

Yes it will, always scary when someone goes from very healthy to very sick that fast.
Keep wishing we could send her flowers or something but sometimes anonymity kinda sucks. :/

I'm okay, how are you? And am I allowed to hug you? ;)

No, it's not too great, but on the other hand, things really weren't working out, so I can understand that she's trying to do something else.

Part of her problem is that all of her friends have already graduated, so she's missing most of her social circle already. :( She wants to travel abroad first en then see if she can get into higher education without a diploma. They do offer some exams that you can take to prove you are up to it. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed everything will work out. Thanks!

I'd been wondering if DD had returned at all since I left for vacation a couple weeks ago. I hope she is doing okay! I agree that the anonymity that comes with a forum presence somewhere like here can really suck. It would be nice to be able to send some flowers, a card or something, and especially nice to be able to pool together as a group and do something nice to send some love. Most times I'm quite appreciative of that same anonymity, but at times like this, it's a real pain.

At least she has an idea of what she wants to do. Sounds like she is not being a Birdnest about it, which is at least a little bit of a good thing :-p
I'll keep my fingers crossed too.

Hey Blob! Hey everyone! :D
Hooray, it's another round of hand cramps, steadily growing rage and wasted time.
The race to beat One Finger Death Punch before I literally snap my controller in half, set it on fire and throw it out the nearest window continues.

Seriously, fuck this game. Left that out, but holy shit, does it ever bear repeating.
