moonshineshadow: Yeah I also tend to buy games to complete a series. That is why I bought Simon 3D. But for the D&D games there is nothing I need to buy for that reason :D
Which Elder Scrolls games did you play? Have to say that I never played Oblivion yet (it is in my big backlog). Skyrim was ok, but Morrowind was awesome :D Never played a Fallout game and since I am not interested in Shooters, there is nothing much of interest in the Bethesda games category.
In regards of Full Throttle, I read that it will get a remake as well as Day of the Tentacle, same as Grim Fandango. While I could understand it for Grim (since the controls of the original one were so bad, I never even finished it, since I could not continue at one place), there is absolutely no need for a remake of Day of the Tentacle. It is perfect as it is. No clue about Full Throttle, but remakes always are a risk.
And in regards of the maps. As I already said yesterday, I always have a graph paper block on my desk. I am prepared :D
What I said about seeing the boxes at the local store 20 years ago was just about the only sincere thing in my joke comment yesterday. Based on that, I want them all now.
Played Oblivion briefly, put roughly 85 hours into Skyrim before I couldn't bullshit myself into continuing. No real experience with Morrowind. If you can squeeze entertainment out of things, you might enjoy the new Fallout games. The best part about them to me is the exploration. Sucks that going hand in hand with that is the godsawful inventory management.
If they have any sense, they'll do an repackaged original along with any remake. The games sound like they're fine on a gameplay level, no need to gut them.
-laughs- Yeah, you and me both. Only, my graph paper's on a shelf in the corner. Will be breaking it out soon though, I'm sure.
