There's an Early Access game called Hardland that looks pretty amazing. It has destructible objects (including terrain), claymation inspired graphics and art design, and a somewhat open world. It even has masks that allow you to trick enemies.

I'm always leery of Early Access and have only bought two early access games (Planet Explorers and Bloodlust: Shadowhunter) but the team behind Hardland seem on the up and up. Actually to be quite honest, most Early Access devs I've found seem to be fairly trustworthy, it's just the few that aren't trustworthy that makes the entirety of them look bad.

I've only bought two as well... two of the most infamous ones :-p
1... 2... 3... KICK IT! (Drop That Beat Like an Ugly Baby), which I believe was the first early access game available on Steam, even before it was called "early access" ... Over 4 years, and still has not been released, and probably won't be.
... and Spacebase DF-9... I'm sure I don't need to say anymore about that one :-p
That said, Hardland does look pretty cool.

I hadn't heard of the first one, looks like I've got some reading to do! That's some pretty bad luck though, d'oh! I only took a chance on Planet Explorers due to it being updated often and the devs being active on their forums, and Bloodlust Shadowhunter's dev is extremely active with both the community and the updates.

Combining the activeness in the community and the updates, Bloodlust: Shadowhunter's dev usually incorporates the community's feedback into the updates, sometimes even releasing patches on the same day as getting feedback.
*hits Endre with green before leaving*
Have a good night you kids :-)
