Aye, I actually got into Baldur's Gate after modding it to run in the Baldur's Gate 2 engine, but got sidetracked after discovering the Baldur's Gate: Reloaded mod, where the entire game is recreated in the Neverwinter Nights 2 engine. Got slightly demoralized with the Reloaded version when I discovered that I couldn't have my Harley Quinn-ish voice from the original version, and haven't played either the past day or two.

I'll probably get back to the version that runs in the Baldur's Gate 2 engine, but I don't have the motivation right now

It can definitely get boring, no disputing that. I tend to play it in heavy bursts over the course of two or three days and then not touch it again for over a month.
