True. I should have been more careful, and I usually am, but this time it was tricky because the sun wasn't really shining, yet the light was very intense or something. :P I have very light skin so I burn easily.

ddickinson: Well, it looks like my health has deteriorated enough that I need to go back to hospital before it gets fatal again. It has been getting a lot worse these last few weeks, what with the rapid weightless and things, and it is not looking as good as I had hoped it would by now. So I will be away for a while, hopefully just a few days, and I thought I would mention in just in case people start to worry (because you are all very sweet and caring). Hopefully I will be fine and back out of hospital in no time.

But while I am away, no touching my stuff! And if I don't come back after a month or so then I want a Viking burial, so all my stuff gets burned with me. Either way, you won't get your hands on my stuff. :-)

I hope you will all have a lovely time while I am away. Take care, and hopefully I will speak to you all again soon.

What do you guys think about downgrading to a 20Mb ADSL?

It's potentially 20 bucks less a month.

Yes i know. I've also very light skin and something similar happened to me some years ago.

Considering how little I squeeze my current 30Mb line... I'd be more than happy with 20. Althought being ADSL I wouldn't get 100% of the badnwidth like I do now.

If it were me, I probably wouldn't mind that downgrade. The only things I download are GOG games, and I only do that a few times a month. 15 instead of 10 minute downloads doesn't really bother me much. I don't think there would be any difference with streaming videos, or the rare times that I play mutliplayer games. And the $20 could get me some new games, or underwear, or whatever, so... That's just me. (I'm at 30Mb right now.)

Was it cloudy? Cloudy days can cause even more sunburn than clear ones. Due to thinking "it's cloudy it shouldn't be so bad"

It kind of is.

We kind of have some of the most expensive internet in Europe, according to consumer associations.

Currently I'm at 50 bucks for 30Mb fiber (coaxial) internet plus phone landline.

I want to reduce that.

EDIT: Nope, not 20 bucks less, my eyes finally caught on the small print and my brain recognized it.
It's all a scam.

For a good decision you need to know:
1. Your investment
2. Your return on investment.
3. Alternatives and shadowcosts.
