Whenever I see Rainbow Six in a sale I am baffled by the graphics. When I played that as a kid (6 years old?) I remember really good graphics almost 2004ish levels.
Brains are tricky and nostalgia can be a major influence there.
Now I probably couldn't play the game anymore. I feel like FPS are more graphic bound then other genres. RPGs and Strategy age better.

Good question as i still haven't played the old ones. I started the series with Origins and only played that and Legends thus far. Unfortunately Legends is still missing here. I'd recommend Origins. It's a great game :)
