CarrionCrow: Silly person, there's almost always a ghost around, if nothing else. =)

Course, you singing that at the thread might make it want to kill itself.

BillyMaysFan59: True, maybe I did "make it cry" at least. :P

How are you Crow? Play any interesting games lately?
-laughs- Natural response to hearing that song.

Can't complain here. My day/night cycle is probably screwed, but that's nothing new. Aside from that, it's continuing on Victor Vran. Think I have between 40 and 45 challenges left and that one will be dead. It's been going on a lot longer than I expected it to, now I'm 52 hours into the frigging thing.

How's your day been?

Boring, I guess, aside from my space adventures in UQM HD. Had some fun fragging a whole fleet of VUX ships with my Spathi Eluders.

Could be worse. It could've been exciting in all the wrong ways. Sitting back and playing a game is a damn sight better by comparison.

yes definitely
avatar
CarrionCrow: Okay...just looked at the rental site, and they're selling Dragonsphere for 7 dollars.
The same Dragonsphere GOG's been giving away for years. That's frigging brilliant right there.
To be fair GOG sells at least one game that is available for free (legally) elsewhere. In this case the game is Downfall, of which The Cat Lady is a sequel of.

In other news there is a spider on my screen. I like spiders quite a bit...but this is annoying.

I won't discriminate, I think people selling items on one site while giving them away for free doesn't make sense regardless of who's doing it. All it does is put screwy expectations of product value into people's heads. If your product's worth 5 dollars, you need to stand behind that, whatever the venue for distribution might be.

It's odd for sure. In the case of Downfall, (to the best of my knowledge) it was made available for free right about the time the dev announced it was being remade, so I imagine the freebie is just to increase the user base. I THINK GOGolytes who own it already will be getting the remake for free, so there is some incentive to buy it anyway.

That sounds reasonable. Still weird to me in a way, but understandable. The game's supposed to be good, hopefully that did the job of getting more people interested so the developer can keep making titles.
Hmm . Slowly romanian / Romania will mean scammer / spammer in the Gog dictionary .

Probably not. I don't condemn every citizen of a country based on the dimwitted nonsense of one person.
Happy good morenings! ♥

Good morning. =)

How're you doing today?
Merry time of day and a happy day of week!

I've reached the early middle part of Mount & Blade: Warband's Prophesy of Pendor. I own three businesses, have a 34 person strong band of troops that are all upper level, including two knights and I'm around level 15 I think. Enemies of similar size stand no chance, I haven't lost a troop in the last five plus battles, heck not even had one injured.

Now I've gotta do some grinding so I can max out my training skill and some of the medical skills and troop management. Considering how much Experience it takes to jump up a level once you get in the 10s...well...the local outlaws are gonna have a bad time.

Still haven't joined a kingdom and probably won't, the "take over the map" part of the game gets boring, especially once you reach the "I can hammer anybody I want, when I want" level.

I need to start playing through that series soon. Think I'm only missing the Viking expansion. It sounds interesting.

It's a great series but all you really need is Warband, and the original Mount & Blade for one or two mods. It has an insane amount of total overhauls, including a Western one that is great, one set in the Gekokujo period in Japan, even a Star Wars one. Prophesy of Pendor is a total overhaul itself, a very detailed one.

I'm really looking forward to Bannerlord, it looks like a improvement in most ways.
