AgentBirdnest: Good mornoon, good sir :-) *big return hug*
How goes it this Monday?
Doing good so far. Currently doing a bit more reading about the Debian install :)
How are you doing?

CarrionCrow: Good morning. =)

How's your day going so far?
Good morning. See above :).
What about you?

Ungunbu: I'm designing a Gauntlet inspired Dungeon Crawler and I created some pixel art for it. Now, I'm a programmer so I'm perfectly aware it's far from being beautiful, nonetheless I'm somewhat proud of it and wanted to show it to someone.

Follow this link to see a mockup image. You'll probably need to zoom in a bit since tiles are 16x16 pixels.

Let me hear your honest opinion please!
At first glance, it reminded me of graphics from an 8-bit Nintendo game. If that's the style you're going for, you're on the right track.

I'm not an expert on art, pixels, dungeon crawlers, or anything at all really, but that looks pretty good to me. I can tell what I'm looking at, which is a huge plus.

AgentBirdnest: I finished the antibiotics a few days ago. This is just a daily problem I've been dealing with since age 10. I've never been able to figure out the cause. Some days are better, some are worse.

I'm curious what this last game with a horrible reputation might be.
That reminds me... I was going through my collection of physical copies the other day, and found "Gods and Generals". One of the worst reputations I know of, and it totally lives up to that reputation :-) I can't lie though, somehow it is still fun, and not just in a "so bad that it's funny" kind of way... It seems that no matter how hard I try, I just can't hate a game. I'm too positive I guess :-p
Sounds familiar. Had similar problems, went through the array of diagnostics, pills, all manner of wonderfully miserable scans and what-not, and they never found a thing. Thinking that it was ultimately due to nerves, high stress levels doing a number on my system.

The last older game with that reputation would be Master of Orion 3. Pretty sure I don't have an old game on my list with a worse rep than that.

It sounds like you're an optimist. You see the positive, no matter what. I'm a pessimist. I can find something wrong with anything. It's just how people are, wouldn't call it being "too" positive.

Thank you. I'm working on a procedural dungeon generation algorithm that will create presumably fun random levels to play. If the game comes out to be fun I'll try to find a real artist to make some serious artwork.

I wish I still had the motivation to learn about that stuff... I used to be more interesting, I swear! [/lazy liar] ;-)
I could be better, but I'm in a pretty good mood, so the morning is a win so far.
*Lying on the sand like a lazy ass owl** B-| ... I didn't forget the sunscreen, no worries... what is a "fancy words fight" ?

Well it's never too late :)
Glad to hear that you're doing good - and there's always room for improvement :)

I think it's like a standard internet slapfight, only with more syllables.

Can't complain here. Just picked up more games (as if I need them), enjoying typing and talking with people during my break from Victor Vran. (The game that refuses to die if you commit yourself to doing those challenges.)
Finally cleared out more of the harder ones, like killing a huge spider boss in two minutes, killing the spider boss without losing more than 20 percent health, killing some high-level vampire guy who's surrounded by monsters in one minute.
Gaining levels slowly but steadily, so it's getting easier overall. Also, I found a grenade launcher that fires exploding chickens, because why not. -laughs-

Glad to hear that. I guess from the staff pick? Nothing for there for me this week.
Wel you'll beat the game eventually and than you can wait for the Motörhead add-on ;)
It's nice to see that Haemimont apparently has a sense of humour and that the game doesn't take itself overly serious as evidenced by the chicken grenade launcher....for some reason i know had to think about Hot Shots Part Deux ;)

Yes, they're from this morning's promo.

If they're making an add-on, they'd better hurry. Once I put in the time to wipe out two hundred five challenges, that game is going to feel pretty frigging dead to me.

I don't when this will be released because there wasn't any mention of a release in the article i read. Looks definitely interesting although i'm not really familiar with Motörhead....

I'm thinking there is a decent chance it is due to (or at least made worse by) my anxiety. Lovely how it has to give you physical bullsh*t too...

Ahh... I've heard very bad things about MoO3 :-) Used to be the lowest rated on GOG if I'm not mistaken. I can't even get into MoO2, so I won't even try to get into something that is said to be much worse.

I used to be the opposite not too long ago. Maybe "neutral" at best. Just in the last year, I've had some pretty big (for me) changes that made me look on the positive side more often. Turns out I liked that feeling, and was lucky enough to be able to hold onto it :-) I'm a bit more naive, but pluck it, I'm happier.
