EndreWhiteMane: Glad you had a nice day in spite of not feeling well.
I'd probably cut those painkillers in half for a couple of days before stopping altogether. You can get pretty jumpy sometimes if you do that.
I'm OK today, just playing around with the computer and looking at games. :-)
*1/2 dose of American bear hug*

ddickinson: I started cutting down on Friday, which is why the last few days have been a bit worse. I know it will mean me being in a lot of pain, but I need to be able to eat properly as the weight loss is effecting my health and is a much greater risk at the moment than me being in pain. So hopefully it will be worth it.

I am glad to hear you are doing okay. What games are you looking at?

*big return hug*
Was looking at one of the sale games here and a couple on Humble.
Bought Royal Bounty HD from Humble but have yet to get it to run properly.
Will probably have to wait for a patch or two, it's a brand new game.

tinyE: Sorry to do this to someone's privacy, but that team which won the DOTA Championship yesterday and picked up 6.6 Million? Crow is their captain.

I say we pester the shit out of him for games; he can afford them!
Thanks for the heads up!
Now, let's see............

ElTerprise: Unfortunately no swamp monster were sighted :)

Well it'll improve eventually. But the most important thing is that you're still doing good otherwise :)
Did you do anything nice after your cycling?

They give a $6 million prize for a computer game tournament?

So another game that is released in a broken state? And to think we used to be so spoilt and get games that actually worked. It's great how things have kept improving in the game industry. ;-)

This is a $5.00 game from a one man developer so it's understandable.
The Steam release is still pending, I think maybe Humble released it a bit too soon.

To the winners. I think the losers got 4 or 5 mill.

I mowed the lawn and afterwards i enjoyed the by sitting on the terrace finishing the first witcher novel while staying on the forum :)

Well, maybe not quite understandable. It is still a commercial product, and even e one-man team should not release broken games. But I get what you are saying, at least it is not a full priced AAA game that is totally broken.

Do you think it is still in a kind of early access stage, what with it not being on Steam yet?

That is such a silly amount for playing computer games. I guess they must get a lot of sponsors and viewers to justify those prizes. I am guessing it is an American run tournament, given the kind of money involved?
avatar
ddickinson: How about we see if there is a burning simulator game? That way you could burn all you want. :-)
:-o
Does such a game exist? I'd buy that instantly...

Yeah, I think I'm just one of the first people to buy it and it hasn't had the chance to be well play-tested yet.
The developer doesn't really even have his website completely done yet.
I can wait, I have 2 or 3 other games I haven't played yet. :-)

I have seen a firefighter simulator, but that is the opposite of what you want. :-)

I think i've seen flash games which are burning simulators but i might be totally wrong....

I was thinking the exact same thing :-p

I remember playing a flash game once where you were an ant getting revenge on humans with a magnifying glass positioned over a city :-D

I just had a look at the game, and I don't quite get the HD tag, given the graphics on the screenshots. Hopefully the developer will keep improving the game once he gets more sales and more feedback. Especially if he does get on Steam, as if his game is broken they will just ask for refunds.

You only have 2 or 3 games you have not played? You must share your secret, I have hundreds now no thanks to GOG. :-)
There was a game back in the WinXP days called Pyro. The graphics where basically just blocks. You entered a room trailing a fuze, and eventually a flame, and your goal was to get from entrance to exit spreading the fuze around as much as you could to burn as much as you could without getting caught by the flame or accidentally trapping yourself in a corner. As you went further along gas cans would show up which could either really help or instantly end your game. Terrible looking but fun as hell.

In fact, cool, I just found a link. Who knew? :P

WHy the fuck do I go to Facebook? Everytime I go there I feel my faith in humanity drained.
Anyway,I spent my weekend with my GF and today we went to celebrate Fathers Day with our families. We had an enourmous BBQ.
