ElTerprise: Good evening Crow
Doing good here. Having nice weather here today with temperatures around 23°C/ 73°F (Win 10 actually shows both in its weather app :D) which is very pleasant.
What about you?
Doing all right here. It's the weekend, so people are running around doing stuff. Aside from doing some clean-up after the house being full of people and burning a couple dozen discs, it should be a pretty laid back day.

Still haven't gotten sick of Victor Vran, so I'll keep going with that. Whenever you get to the point with the respawning asshole boss, if you want I can tell you how I finally managed to do it under the time limit. Nice thing about that game, info like that isn't a spoiler, since each player still has to be able to do it themselves.

BillyMaysFan59: Hey how's Windows 10 working for you?

/curiosity
The data collection and tracking stuff stuff aside i really likeit .It runs stable and fast after i did a Clean installation after the Upgrade. Imho it's an big improvement over Windows 8.1.

I had some issues after the Upgrade on my laptop due to the switchable graphics but that was fixed by the Clean install.

BTW just found another interesting DIstro called Netrunner while reading about KDE...

Glad to hear that. Disc-burning is one task i also still have to do for after i downloaded some different Linux distros ;)

Yes that would be nice. But i only started the game once yesterday to check if it's properly running on my machine :).

EndreWhiteMane: Just got back from buying Alka-Seltzer, Ginger Ale and crackers.
Lots of crude and disgusting belches and I'll be a new man. :-)
Your day OK so far?
Okay, that's weird. Your post wasn't showing until just now. Another curveball to keep an eye out for.

That sounds downright exciting. Be careful, if the dog thinks there's a competition, they might try to explosively force you from your own home until the cloud clears.

Not bad here, things are quiet again. Just need to clear some odds and ends in one shot so I don't lose track.
Beyond that, going back and forth on whether to grab something from the promo. Thinking I'll wait to see what they put up tomorrow, then decide for certain.

Hopefully it worked properly. Even with my garbage graphics, it works well unless the screen is pretty much full of enemies. Then it starts to choke a bit. But that's my hardware limitation, not the game.

Check this out before you burn too many CDs/DVDs: (and CD/DVD-R/W is not reliable at all for this)

Whoops....forgot that information. Yes it run quite well on my laptop...we'll if that changes when the screen is drowning in enemies :)

Thanks. Downloading it. But i was talking about 3-5 DVDs and i'm not using Rewritables after i had some troubles with them years ago.

Edit: And it's not working. Maybe it's really compatible with Windows 10 *sigh*

Quiet is good. I have 4-5 things I'm looking at but only 1 is on sale.
I've changed the priority about 20 times on those items already. :-)

That's good. Don't worry about the rest, just keep moving. -laughs-

Understandable. Pretty much the same thing here, only 2 items are on sale right now. But one of them isn't exactly making me think I should grab it right away while I've got other items that I definitely want sooner rather than later.

At this point I just don't see any reason to upgrade my machine from 7 to 10.

But speaking of upgrades, I finally got around to upgrading the app launcher in my nook.

Some hours of tinkering, a couple of reinstallations, a "Fuck this, I'll finish it tomorrow!" A ritual sacrifice, and a shoggoth exorcism later, it's finally working as it should.

CarrionCrow: Good morning/afternoon/evening, everyone.

Hopefully you're all doing okay at the very least, or improving if you aren't. Stomach problems are not fun.
Afternoon Crow.

Aaah, bliss!
Your mention of crackers almost makes me regret not buying that sourdough pretzel barrel yesterday.
Almost!

Understandable. I think currently the upgrade might be appealing for those users who happen to have the abomination called Windows 8 and 8.1 (which weren't that bad but 10 is way better).

*googles Nook*...An e reader? Those have app launcher? But good to hear that it's working.

Yes, W8 joins the, now not so exclusive club founded by WindowsME and Vista. W7 wasn't in it so I see no advantage on upgrading.

Nope, Nook Simple Touch doesn't, but after I rooted it, I gave it one.

But its Android 2.1 is ancient so I can only run a limited number of apps.

EndreWhiteMane: Golf belongs on the PC.
Slices, hooks, divots, water hazards, sand traps and TREES!
And they charge money to let you play.
What masochistic ass would think up a stupid game like that? :-)
I read that again and realized something.

That's just like any of your typical subsctiption MMO.

I don't have final opinion on it but i hope WIn 10 will be the same improvement over 8 that was 7 over Vista. But i would agree. There no point in upgrading yet when you have Windows 7. And if i'm not mistaken 7 will be supported until 2020.

Ah i see. Yes Android 2.1 is ancient indeed. I'm thinking of rooting my smartphone at some point to install Cyanogen Mod on it.
