GreenDamsel: Uncomfortable with the identity you created? ;)

l0rdtr3k: No. I don't like when people make fun of what I like. For example you who makes jokes that make me seen like your typical neckbearded otaku who live on his parents basements and jerks off to his waifus.
I have a a waifu, yes. A real, nerdy, adorable human being whom I date for 6 months and know her for 5 years. I'm not ashamed of being an otaku but I hate the steriotype of the anime fan base.
You call your girlfriend your "waifu". You address others with "-chan". You aggressively (Nobody asked for it) declare your interest for MLP and Anime.
For loathing the stereotype of the anime fan base so much, you awfully do a lot to represent it.
I don't know about your looks or your location, but I can see the mindset.
What you talk about is your decision. Stand behind your decisions and their consequences. If you adress people with "-chan" I will make fun of that. You reap what you sow and it is your choice to either laugh along or pout.
And feel free to make fun of whatever I talk about. My obsession with Spellforce, or how I am writing my thesis, or how I dislike the heat. I appreciate a good laugh.

I just don't like this modern culture of people being offended about every little shit joke.
If you can't laugh about yourself and still be proud of whatever makes you unique, you have other issues that can't be fixed by me stopping to joke around.

Btw. Hi.
How are you?

My GF doesn't mind me calling her waifu and me addressing other with "chan" or "kun" is basically me telling them that I'm good friends with them.
Me declaring my interest is because I keep them hidden because people tend to make fun of them when I declare them and here, people don't mind me saying what I like but I tell D that there's good anime out there and she shoudn't lose hope in the medium,I've been there until I actually got to watch the new stuff and rediscovered my love for the medium.
I like the people here because they accept me and don't mind what I like but what I am.

Btw. Hi.
How are you?
I just mentioned it because I work with an older German lady who is a real treat to talk to.
No bullshit EVER, I love it. :-)
I'm doing OK today, still quite tired but at least we have decent weather again.
Are you still melting?

Yeah. Quite so.

But it is true that German people are quite frank. Especially compared to Americans. I appreciate both lifestyles. Whenever I go to the US I just fuel up on all the niceness and friendliness even if it is superficial. :D

then may i recommend NOT visiting the midwest? We are a fearfully polite and friendly section of the US that will make you crack and/or give you diabetes. Unless you go to like, Chicago.

As Crew says we're genuinely pretty friendly in the Midwest, definitely talk too much though.
I try to be concise but sometimes that gets taken for rudeness. I'd be a good German. :-)

i'd be a horrible german, and i'm almost half german.
Try Utah. Many people here actually go through niceness training when they turn 19 :-)
