Do you have anything nice planned with your girlfriend for later?

AgentBirdnest: I think I could live with only two video games... give me NOLF and Deus Ex, and I'm a happy man :-) Oh, Blackweel too! oh! and Giants! ... and maybe FTL, and STALKER... and... oh, nevermind... :-)

I can beat a book any time I want. Don't tell me what I can't do :-p
Nah, seriously, book are great... I take video games over everything though. It is helpful for my anxiety to be able to interact with something.
*picks up a book and beats Agent with it*.

See, a book can beat anything. *skips away* :-)

Games are fun as well, so I can understand them helping you. nothing wrong with preferring games more, or even moves more. We are all different and have different tastes.

ElTerprise: Well Skyrim is definitely worse than Morrowind but better than Oblivion imho. But i can imagine that Skyrim might be particularly boring to some people :).
(Oops, missed this)
That's the opinion I usually hear. Most fans of the series seem to hate, or at least think very little of Oblivion. Despite some really annoying things like level scaling, I couldn't help enjoying it. Personally, I couldn't call Morrowind or Oblivion my favourite. They both have different strengths and weaknesses, and I love them both.
Skyrim... I just couldn't put my finger on what bothered me... It felt like there just wasn't enough "heart"...

That is an awesome hug *return book hug*

ElTerprise: Well it's a rather niche game and in that case i actually can imagine that some people actually spend this amount of money on that DLC.
Maybe, but the game is not that good judging by the reviews. it has simplified controls and bad mechanics and design features. I could maybe understand if it was a big 100% accurate simulator like a lot of the big flight simulators, but not a simple gimmicky train simulator.

ddickinson: I just had a look and they are available over here on consoles and PC on disc for less than £2. But I am not sure if they use DRM or not. They are older games so probably not.
I see some used copies of the PC version for pretty cheap ($6+) in various conditions. A brand new copy is closer to around $80. (Thank you, Amazon :-))
I think they require the disc to be in the drive (I'm sure there is a way around that, I've never looked into that kind of thing.) Other than that, I believe they are clean games.

Sure they do if you enjoy them.

Maybe I should see about getting the game since I have never played them. Do you think it would be better on the PS2, given the problems it might have running on a modern PC?

Silly Agent. You can't beat literature. :-)

That one looks interesting. *goes off to have a closer look*

I don't quite get the comparison to The Dark Crystal on the game based on the trailer and screenshots.

Since I have not no clue about The Daark Crystal I can't help you with that ;-)

The PS2 version had many people complaining because there was no save feature, which sounds miserable because there are a few levels that are not too easy.
I haven't tried, but I've heard that it works fine on Windows 7. I can only vouch for it working on XP with 2009 hardware :-p
