EndreWhiteMane: I really do need to start Planescape one of these days. ;)
I was thinking maybe finish Driftmoon for relaxation and D:OS to hurt myself.
Hope it runs really well on the laptop, the old desktop just can't quite handle it.

CarrionCrow: Planescape is a clear plate game. It's got a big story, a ton of dialogue, and it's really good so you don't want it to get diluted the way games can be when you're playing five of them at once.

Driftmoon sounds right. It's supposed to be lighter.
Original Sin doesn't sound painful in difficulty or bad quality, it's just going to be a time destroyer.
Driftmoon is more like 'wacky fun' so it's a nice break from other things, I'm about 1/3 of the way through that one.
OS doesn't seem all that hard but yes, there are about 10 gazillion things to do, should take a long while.

Not only is it a time destroyer, but with them working on the revamp version that owners'll get for free, the amount of content for that is going to go through the roof.
By the time you're done with the original, you can go back and play the upgraded version.

Didn't even know about that, makes me even more grateful for the gift, it'll be a great game from what I've seen of it.

Edit: Just read about the new version, lots of changes. 64bit only now but that should mean it'll run even better on the laptop.

That's one of the games that I look at as a "break glass in case of sanity failure" kind of thing after playing a few miserably unpleasant titles in the backlog.

Also, not sure if you have it, but Wasteland 2 is getting a similar revamp for people who have the original title.

I do have Wasteland 2 and saw that announcement. That's a good thing, from what I've seen that one NEEDS some improvement.

Disappointing news there since I've been looking forward to playing it. Would've done so before now if I hadn't learned that it's a direct sequel to 1.
Good evening @Crow @Endre and hi to anyone who is reading this.

I can relate to the heat hate, although mostly we don't have a humidity problem, which makes it a little easier.

Can't imagine how you'll be able to work outside, Crow, you have my sympathy. Hope it's a very short job.

I haven't played any games for a while, too much to do here, but the last one I played for a short while was Banished, which I enjoyed very much. I'll try to get back into games again after the great move.

Hope you both sleep well when you sleep.

Editing to say sorry for interrupting your conversation. But thanks for reminding me to check my games for updates, as I am not sure if they show up in the Library or not. I don't have the ones you mentioned, but I'm sure that at least some of the games I downloaded have been updated since I last looked.

I don't think it's a bad game, it just has some pretty annoying graphics and kinda 'misses the mark' in recreating the feel of the old original.
I haven't played much of it yet so it may get better as it goes.
The update sounds like it addresses several of the issues.

Good morning. =)

Actually, it's shaping up to be a fairly long one. But it will get done because I made the commitment to do so.
Can't get jobs if I don't see them through.

How's the moving, the miserable heat and any other fun stuff you might be having to contend with right now?

You're already ahead of me, it sounds like. Haven't gotten into the first one at all, and that's preventing me from starting the second.

Time for Endre to go night night.
See everyone tomorrow.

It sounds nasty. Hope you cover up well. The Arabs have the right idea about what to wear in desert conditions, so perhaps some robes are in order? ;-)
And lots of water of course.

As my avatar so succinctly puts it, 'it is what it is'. :-)
Just trying to take things one step at a time, otherwise I start panicking. At least it's cool right now, that's a blessing.

I don't even like wearing pants, so robes are right out as an option. -laughs-

Sounds like a solid approach. Panic won't do anything but add grief, and you don't need that.
On the bright side, hopefully you're at least moving to a place that you'll be happier with than where you are now.
Good Morning! How are you?
