Things are indeed going quite well, thank you! We've got training class with Sarge this morning, then the lady is going to take him with her to visit her parents for the afternoon, and is insisting that I stay home and take the day off to catch up on sleep, or to play an absurd amount of video games, just so long as I don't spend the time cleaning house. I ever-so-reluctantly agreed. ;) Been pretty behind on sleep, but not feeling so sleepy, so it'll likely mean lots of little bursts of play with different games (I've picked up some new games both here and on Steam and I'm excited about, and I'm not the most disciplined sort, so I'll likely play a bit of several of them instead of just picking one and playing it all the way through.)
Tomorrow, it's off to visit my own folks for father's day, and we're planning to stop by a nice and quiet little bar/grill on the way home for a drink and appetizer before coming home and preparing for the coming week. :)

How about yourself, anything exciting planned?

My answer is still the same as yesterday, little blob. I speak/read English and bad English. :-)

*not sure what you said hug*

I said "can I hug you?".

It sounds like you have a nice weekend to look forward to. I hope everything goes will with Sarge's training, and that you have a lovely time on Sunday.

I am at work today, but I have a lovely evening planned for later. Then tomorrow I am volunteering at a hospice for terminally ill children for most of the day. Other than that I will just be enjoying my day off and trying to relax a little.

It worked out good then, as you got a hug. :-)

That sounds wonderful. I've been considering volunteering at the Mayo Clinic, if and when I'm able to drive again. I plan to go out and practice with the car on weekends to get used to it again while I work on trying to get a doctor's approval to get back on the road. I also found out yesterday that there's actually a bus stop within somewhat-reasonable walking distance finally that I could use to get rides into town, or to the clinic, etc, so I may be able to arrange it whether I return to driving or not. :)
I hope the evening you have planned is a lovely one!

Just work, my romantic evening, and visiting the children's hospice. How about you?

That sounds great, and very admirable. I am sure they would really appreciate your help at the clinic. What kind of clinic is it, if you don't mind me asking?

My evening will indeed be a lovely evening. Every Saturday me and my partner have a nice romantic evening and night, starting with a lovely candle lit dinner.

Sounds like a wonderful Saturday night! My wife and I used to be opposed to the idea of "scheduling romance," but these days it's quite honestly the only way to reliably find/make time for ourselves. If we didn't plan dates these days, we'd probably both be so tied up in and distracted by life that we'd just forget to make time for ourselves and each other.
The Mayo Clinic is a non-profit medical practice and research group, and they have (I believe) three campuses / hospitals in the US. They provide some of the best health care you can get in the states. I started going there myself after all the other gastrointestinal doctors in my region gave up trying to diagnose me, but now I've got a team of docs at the Mayo (a GI, a pain management doctor, a rare disease specialist, etc) and the care one gets there is just on a very different level than one gets used to in the American medical system. I'd wanted for a long time to work or volunteer as a drug counselor, but since I've been going to the clinic, I've just really wanted to help out there, as I'm just fascinated with the place and with the people there. :)

For us the whole romance thing is definitely not just confined to Saturdays, but that's the only time we have together where we can have a late night and not have to worry about one of us needing to be up early in the morning (mainly due to me and my work). It also goes back to when we were younger and went to separate universities, so Saturday used to be the only night we had together. It's not exactly scheduled, we don't do anything we are not in the mood for, it's just a nice little tradition we have.

That is a very nice motive to want to help and volunteer there. I hope you are able to do that one day and that it is as enjoyable as you hope.

It's afternoon for me, and 2015. How long have you been in that cave?

*looks at the corner piled high with human waste*

I see, you must have been in there for years. :-)
