ddickinson: Does that mean you get to go home earlier, or just that the course ends earlier?

Thank you, I am sure he will be fine. The leg does not feel broken, so probably just some muscle or ligament damage. We are getting a new bull soon, as the one we have is related to too many of the females now and we are thinking about going back into slaughtering, so we will need quite a few more cows for that. But we have not fully decided on that yet, we will make our decision over the next month or so.

moonshineshadow: I decided that it means I'll go home earlier. No use in going back to the office and working just for a short time :D
Are you going back to slaughtering because it is not profitable enough without?
What happened to you legs?!?! I hope not something serious!
avatar
moonshineshadow: My day is going fine. The course will probably end a bit earlier today *yeah*

I hope everything will be fine for the calf :-)

l0rdtr3k: Je peux embrasser vou?
Je crois que le mot est écrit "vous"?

And a load of +1's to our awesome farm-girl for the the wonderful gift of Spacerun!
*big thank you hug*

That's good. It's always nice going home early from work. Or so I have been told. :-)

That is part of the reason, and also due to the amount of work needed for the extra crops during the harvest seasons and the times shortly afterwards. There is also more risk with crops, due to the weather and parasites and things like that. Livestock is a lot of work, but it is in many ways more stable, if that makes sense. Cows are usually kept for several years for milk, then sent of to slaughter then. We will be getting more pigs of our own if we decide to go back in to slaughter - the ones we have at the moment belong to a neighbouring farmer who needs a little help due to his ill health.

We will wait for the summer harvest to make up our minds, but we need to make steps now as some things will need to be put in motion now just in case we need to go back to slaughtering. The preparation is a bit of a waste and costly if we decide to not go back to slaughtering, but we can't just leave things until the last minute once the harvest has been done.

XxXSprayvWarXxX: Hey DD, if I had the finacial opportunity I would, so I can't get anything anymore. Also I have picked up only the Walking Dead games from the sale, and the gifts I got from Gun (Saints Row 2) and EIT (Saints Row the third full package), again millions of thanks on these! And I see your opinion on them! :)
avatar
ddickinson: I am sure the games will be here on sale again soon. GOG loves to have big sales. And at least you got some games from the sale. Didn't you also get Outlast as well, or did I remember that wrong?

tinyE: One of our guest just handed me a wasabi bean. "Oh there not that bad." he says.

Jesus, my tongue has no more skin left on it! :O

ddickinson: Did he have an evil smile on his face when he said they are not too bad? :-)

And is your rep finally going up again?

l0rdtr3k: Nope, but I really wanted the Settlers bundle.
Et *embrassement d'ours*

ddickinson: I am sure they will be there another time. Do you like the games you did manage to pick up from the sale?
Yes I know. Oh and yeah I totally forgot about Outlast, I got it from a kind guy from the gifting thread! Awesome game I finished it! I love the games I got! and i hope there is an opportunity to get the games I want next time.

The extra work for the crops is part of the reason I had such long hours recently. A lot of it was ground work that would not necessarily be needed next year, but it does involve a lot of work. Livestock can be equally hard (farming is very hard in general), but animals can partly take care of themselves, so sometimes things can be easier, but that is not always the case. Things can go wrong for both crops and livestock.

Outlast is a very fun and scary game. Best played in the dark with headphones. :-)
Hi all ;-)

A quick apology to DD for disappearing last night in the middle of a chat - the forum went awol and I couldn't refesh/post/reply without getting the dreaded bear for more than an hour. REALLY frusrating. Its great that GOG offers DRM free games at good prices, but they need to remove their heads from their backsides and provide us with a non-crappy site and forum which work properly, particularly at sale time - something that I'm personally yet to see.

I'm off again - things to do all over the place, so have a good day and hopefully be back again later ;-)

*big hug* While a good working forum would be welcome I fear every work they did here would break more stuff than it would fix ;-)

Hi everybody!

Did I miss the Rayman-Bundle when it was up first? Haven't noticed it before, so I bought it now. Now the sale is finally over for me :)

Edit: forgot to *hug*

I can easily symphatize. that stuff is in some ways worse than chilli pepper.
It gives that strange taste and feel all over your head if you take too much.
I remember once somewhere in Asia... Thought that I had mastered all tastes because could sink quite a heavy dose of chili at that time... But man my head short circuited and felt really weird for a while and water was coming out of eyes and ears. Strange mad stuff, wasabi :)
