Good morning!

akhliber: I seem to be around most in the wee hours when nobody posts as well. The lack of notifications for things like chat messages and forum replies has gotten a bit frustrating. Sarge is asleep for the night and I'm waiting for the new round of Steam flash sales to appear in a few minutes before heading to sleep myself. I hope you are well!
:)
Without those notifications it's really difficult to keep up with people here - easier in chat if one remembers to check anyway, which I often don't.
Hope you find a game you like, and that you sleep well. A big pat for Sarge when he wakes. :-)

ZenWan: True about the forum being unpredictable and of course it's hard to check things like that for yourself. I don't always remember to log out even when I'm gone, so I hope that it does change to offline.
I think I show green in the pm / chat section when I'm downloading with Galaxy, I must ask someone to check, as I am rarely on the site except in the early morning. I only use Galaxy for downloads, and just leave it running when I'm busy with other stuff - the GOG downloader doesn't work on this computer.

All well here, hope things are good for you also. :-) Glad you're getting more sleep these days, even if it is boredom sleep. ;-)
Well, I think I can answer your question somewhat.
While chatting with other people during the day, your name has appeared to be online in the chat screen.
With you only being active early in the day, it must be showing your downloader activity as you being online.

Things are all right here. Nothing exciting, but I can't complain.

How are you doing in the midst of being buried in work?

Thank you for letting me know, although it's annoying to hear. Not sure there's any way to fix that issue, I had already asked them for an 'away' or 'invisible' option, but no changes seem to have been made at all.

Time to go - hope you sleep well, when you sleep. :-)

Figure those options will come around eventually, but I'd be lying if I said I had a clue about their timeframe.

Have a good day. =)
Moin everyone *big hugs and waves*

How are you all doing?

CarrionCrow: Figuring there will be 4 more bundles, 2 a day.

Doing the same thing, thinking I'll start by putting an end to playing multiple games at once.
Pick one, good or bad, then play it until it's either done or it drives me crazy, at which point I'll no longer give a crap about my backlog.
Yes. And me maybe an all bundle day again.
Exactly. Otherwise i never get around to play the games on my shelf :)

Pretty much the same :)
But i'm working on the tired part by drinking loads of coffee :)
Good morning.

Moin.

Morning guise and galz.

And now for something, completely different.

I just saw an oreo commercial and saw no mention whatsoever of taste or nutritional value.

Which got me thinking, and trying to remember about all oreo commercials I could remember, which are very few and quite recent. But a curious pattern emerged. They all seem to center on how much fun it is to eat an oreo, which is absolute bull of course. There's nothing interesting about eating an oreo, it's like trying to convince someone that watching paint dry is the most fun you can have, if you do it while standing on your head.

My theory is that no one really likes them that much, and they are only moderately less unhealthy than swallowing hemlock. Yes I said it, oreos are not really tasty, they rate pretty low in the deliciousness scale of cookies and biscuits, search your feelings you know this to be true. So the marketing drones focus on how fun it is to eat them. Which is of course total bull.

Good morning.
Never liked them anyway. But let me get this straight: the commercial only refers to how much fun it is to eat them not how good they taste?

No mention about taste is done whatsoever, in fact the oreo themselves are not mentioned until the very end. Instead what you get is this silly jingle and cartoon about a vampire kidnapping some princess, then they dance and the vampire switches from blood to delicious milk cream, cue a cartoon oreo and how much fun there is to be had with them, as if they were some kind of toy.

This is not new, all commercials I've seen focus on how much fun it is to take off one of the cookies then start licking the chemical filled cream-milk flavoured filling like a dog, which I found disgusting. Another one mentioned dunking them in milk which is ridiculous because oreos don't soak, but I think the fun was in throwing them from a distance given the size of the splashes shown.
