adaliabooks: I'm fine thank you :)
How are you?

Making up for lost time clearly ;)
I am good, thank you. Enjoying my normal working hours after those long days.

How is work, is it still going well and keeping you busy?

She sure is making up for lost time. :-)

ElTerprise: Yes. That true...but i from what i know Wesley Crusher was created to appeal to a younger audience...

Another reason why Voyager is my least favourite Star Trek series although it had some interesting characters :)
I thought all those skin tight outfits the ladies wore were there for the younger audiences? :-)

To be honest, I remember only bits of the different shows. They were not bad for what they were, it's just been so long since I saw them.

Maybe those outfits as well :)

Wel it has been for me some time too since i last watched Star Trek...

adaliabooks: Hehe, good luck with that... it sounds like she's been busy (you could always use my script ;) )

I'm fine.
Glad to hear that.

The Next Generation has some cute outfits. My partner and I went to a fancy dress birthday party several years ago for a friend who was big on Star Trek. We wore the Star Fleet uniform, and she sure looked cute in the one-piece uniform. :-)

ElTerprise: Very true - he was really annoying...

But that's always the case. It's the same with the ratings in Germany. It's not always understandable...
avatar
ddickinson: It never made sense how his character, an annoying youth who has not even been through the academy, yet he seems smarter than Star Fleet research and development and even the lead engineers on the Enterprise. It's a bit like Voyager, where they make the warp drive go at a speed that even Star Fleet researchers were not able to reach yet. Too much was done that made Star Fleet research just seem like a bunch of monkeys, as average engineers were able to accomplish them on the fly without all the research equipment. It lost a lot of its realism, not that the show was really going for realism to begin with.

(Some of that could be wrong, it has been years since I watched them with my brothers while I was growing up.)

l0rdtr3k: Gonna hug.And you don't mind a guy that it's in his 20's and still likes cartoons?
And why you must remind me of the worst Star Trek character ever?Wesley sucks.
avatar
ddickinson: Why would I mind someone who enjoys cartoons? It's like games, people like what they like, and as long as they are enjoying it then who cares what they like.

*return hug*
Your hugs are so delicious.*hugs*Is that a piece of Greenskin on your hair?Did you had a skirmish with them today?

I had a skirmish with a moody cow today, they are as strong as an Ork. :-)

I am still hoping GOG will get the Space Marine game someday. The settings and scenery looks very nice, and you get to kill lots of Greenskins and heretics with a chainsword. :-)

That sounds really great and i can imagine that. Yes - The Next Generation had some really cute outfits :)

Some were just silly, but the uniforms did not look too bad for the most part.

I remember that on Voyager I hated all the time travel stuff, it just made so many plot holes and contradictions. And I remember the ending where the captain was the one destined to defeat the Borg. It was so silly and over the top.

I know how you feel, we've been working some 12 or 14 hour days of late too.

That probably answers that question too ;)
Yeah, work is still going well, keeping us very busy.

The newer version should auto update itself to stop that happening :)

As i said when i returned from the fedcon - i might wear a star trek uniform next time . Some are definitely silly but generally they are quite good imho :).

Yes but Enterprise also suffered from Time travel. What really disliked was that although the were stranded in unknown part of the galaxy and the got into tough fights the ship always looked perfect and they lacked any important stuff on the voyager. Hell they even used the holodeck regularly....that was just dumb..that show had potential but they wasted it.
And yes the final episodes was not really good and over the top.

But I am used to it, it must be quite tiring for you and your partner. But I am glad that things are nice and busy for you, and that the weather has not been too bad. Just remember to keep some time aside for yourselves, you don't want to work too hard and burn yourselves out.

I never saw Enterprise, but I know my brothers did not like it. I agree about Voyager, there were so many opportunity to explore this new part of space, but it just became dull. Half way through they started getting contact with Earth, ending most of the isolation element to the series. Then a few years later they are home. It should have just ended with them continuing their journey home, not all living happily ever after and the captain saving the galaxy from the Borg.

I found Enterprise decent. It got really good in the last season. Yes they really messed it up. I actually would have liked not to have a happy end.
We had time travel right here on GOG, remember that sale?
Rumour has it the people invading the forums are the Borg, not from Steam.
And the uniforms are not silly, you're just jealous you don't get to wear them.
Well I am going to call it a night. It's been a long day and I have another one to look forward to in the morning.

Goodnight, and have a lovely evening!

*goodnight hugs and some silly waves*

Some people are not really big on bad endings, they seem to prefer the whole happy Hollywood style endings. Wasn't that what all the fuss about Mass Effect 3 was, that it was a bad ending and that some of the vocal fans demanded a more happy ending? (I could be mistaken, I have never played the game or really followed it, but I remember it caused a bit of a fuss and the developers made a new ending.)

I think I still have our Star Trek uniforms in the attic, along with a bunch of others we have warn over the years. I won't tell you what some of them are, as you might get too over-excited. :-)

Goodnight, Endre! I hope you are well and are having a lovely day?

Hopefully I will get to talk some more tomorrow.

*big hello and goodnight hug*
