My Firefox updated to version 38.0.5 a few days ago and since then I have to shut it down and restart it every 3 hours or so. After that the video starts going all wonky.
Anyone else seeing this? I may go back to Chrome if the next update doesn't fix this issue.

adaliabooks: It gets to the point where I can't actually be bothered to argue. I just spell it and hope they get it at least somewhat correct...
We used to get all sorts of bizarre variations on letters when I was a kid because my father's first name is Italian too and Irish people clearly struggled with that... but funnily enough the post always seemed to arrive no matter how ridiculous a name they put on it (I think the post man just brought anything with an odd name on it to us as a matter of course...)
He probably did! Usually they figure those things out after a while. :P

penumbren: It's funny, really. I'm actually really good with names, and with remembering how other people spell theirs... but very few people get mine right. You'd think I'd just get used to it over time, but nope. Still drives me batty.
I can see why you would. It's a totally different name at that point, and I don't know about you, but if someone's going to call me by a totally incorrect name, I at least want them to be creative about it rather than showing off their brain damage.

Hmm...odd. I also have FF 38.0.5. and i haven't experienced such issues. What do you mean with video?

Any page with heavy graphics starts breaking up into black 'blocks'.
Probably my crap video card, a lot of things don't like it. :/

Happens to me all the time with my last name. And when they have a document in front of them with it written correctly, they read it out loud wrong, and then write it down the way it registered in their brain when they said it. It's one of those hopeless situations. :-)
