EndreWhiteMane: We don't have many newts here, no one would understand that.
Plenty of the other though. :-)

ddickinson: So no newts, and no shortage of farts. Perhaps the abundant amount of farts is the reason there are no newts. :-)

How are you, did you open a Paypal account?
Yes. But I still need to unlock my CC. My bank is paranoid about overseas transactions so I need to call there everytime I want to purchase here.

LeoLR: The XCOM 2 trailer tells us almost nothing about the upcoming game but I confess I feel rather hyped about it too. I can only imagine the possibilities as the trailer suggests a reverse role of XCOM. You are not the last defense of Earth. You are now the resistance, fighting in the shadows with few resources and using guerrilla tactics. Quite enticing indeed.
I was somewhat frustrated about how little the trailer showed about the game itself, but ultimately more excited. It'll be a nice surprise when it does come out, and I'm confident enough that I'll like it to appreciate avoiding spoilers. If I'm unsure about a game, I'll want much more detail about gameplay and such before giving it a go, but some games I just prefer to be a surprise. :)

Ixamyakxim: I dated a British woman for a bit many years ago. I remember the first time I had the nerve to ask "Okay, so why are you so pissed?" In the U.S. "to be pissed" means angry or upset. I also had to build up courage to ask what the hell "bung" meant. I just stared at people blankly when they asked me to "bung X Y." I'm usually pretty decent at context clues, but this one eluded me until I finally asked.

I STILL hate the term "taking the piss."
"Pissed" can mean both here in the UK, drunk or angry, depending on the context it is used in. It's strange how many ways one word can be used in the English language. I guess that is why many people say it is a hard language to learn.

Maybe once it's unlocked with Paypal it will not require you to call every time. Can you not ask them to let all payments to GOG go through?

Will do this next month.
Gotta help pay the bills now.
Welllll thanks to computer problems, summer sale spending is going to be the least of my worries now. I'm going to have to be shopping for a new laptop.... in the meantime I'll be using my spare ultraportable (definitely no gaming powerhouse but it'll have to do for the time being)

Nevermind my ramblings, hope everyone is having a good afternoon :)

ddickinson: None really for me. I like the look of the Paradox games, but I know I will not like them (so no gifting), due to all the micro-managment type things you have to do.

Are you hoping for any games to show up in the next batch?
Yes i think there was a lot micromanagement in the games - they redueced that in the latter games significantly..thankfully :)
I'M still hoping for Hand of Fate but other than that nothing in particular

Stilton: OK. They're sounding good, thanks ;-)
You're welcome. But keep in mind that i don't know how those actually play. The older Paradox games are hard to get into from i know .

EndreWhiteMane: I dated one too, for several years. Learned a number of 'innocent terms' that would get the crap knocked out of you where I live. :-)
I'm not opposed to swearing. I don't use colorful language nearly as much as I used to ;) But there's one word I can't stand and never used. I was shocked by the regularity with which it is used over the pond... the C-word. I'd hear it dropped out and about just walking down the street! Still find it pretty ugly personally.

Hello - that really sucks...
I'm doing good - how are you aside from the aforementioned problems...?

No change at a wipe and reinstall taking care of it? Is that wishful thinking on my part? :(

It seems XCOM's mission failed in the end. I am curious about the story Firaxis will create to explain this.

Nothing else I can complain about atm :)

Hopefully you will have it all sorted for the next big sale.

I never used to mind all the micro-managment, but as I have less and less gaming time now, I just can't really get into anything with too much micro-managment. It's just not fun for me.

*goes to look at what Hand of Fate is*

I see. What kind of discount are you hoping for?

LOL we mentioned this one last night - was it Fearful that was playing tarot cards for us? Let's see if you're lowballing this one as much as I am ;) Just about an hour to find out. With the (now mistaken) 48 hour countdown earlier, I actually thought this may be the last "flip" of new games before repeats. Now that the bundle counter is reading "properly" or at least as it was before, I'm curious if we'll continue to get new groups of games for at least another day or so...

It's used in Australia a lot too, but it just means arse there. It's never been a favorite of mine either.
My swearing has _almost_ stopped except when my temper gets the better of me, and then only when I'm alone.
I use sh** and da** quite a bit when they're called for though, mostly when driving. :-)

It does not have the same relevance over here, the word is not nearly as bad as it seems to be over in your neck of the woods. I am sure if you were not American you would not mind the word so much, not that it is a particularly pleasant word, and not one that I use.
