j0ekerr: I hear that Kerbal is particularly popular amongs aerospace engineers.

To the point that half of NASA is playing it.
Okay, that is extremely cool. You know you're doing things right when you make a sim game and the people who've spent their lives doing it for real want to be involved.

EndreWhiteMane: Hi there! Oceanhorn is a lot of fun.
Doing well here, glad you've found some time to enjoy yourself. ;)

j0ekerr: You've got it? It's described as a Zelda inspired game and a spiritual successor to wind waker.

Sounds about right to you?
From what little I've played of the others I'd say yes.
I'm fairly good at it, which means it not a very hard game. :-)

penumbren: I know it started as a mobile game, but I thought I read somewhere that it was redone (control-wise, at least) for the PC. Thoughts?

And glad to hear it. There's a difference between wasting time and enjoying myself, and lately I've done far too much of the former. ;)
I've yet to play a mobile game so I'm not much of a judge but the controls seemed fine to me.

Stilton: OK, its time this Walton was in bed.

See you when the cow's need milking ;-)
Night Bard Boy! ;)

Please don't say that. The Waltons eat so much ass.
The only good thing is that there's a channel here that makes a big deal about having nothing but family-friendly, non-violent programming, and while they show the Waltons all the goddamn time, watching that show makes me want to hit things with a hammer.

Have a good night, sleep well. Barbecued milking cow in the morning. ;)

I'd say that's at least a recommendation that the controls don't have the 'ported-from-mobile' suck factor. :)

ETA: HOW do people not comprehend that "abort" does not mean "pause"? *facepalm* I really need to remember not to look at the Galaxy Beta thread anymore.

-laughs- I'm picturing the situation. :-) "hmmm... Almost finishing my Witcher 3 download but I have to leave... I'll finish it later... **ABORT**"
Is it worth picking up the entire Majesty series here? (Majesty 1+2) From what I gather Majesty 2 has mixed to negative reviews compared to Majesty 1. Both are at a nice discount right now.
Good morning everyone .

ne_zavarj: Good morning everyone .
Good morning.
Well... It is kind of morning here (1:30am) :-P
Goodskies Mornskies Brazil and Hungary!

Now just checked quickly the front page, and spotted two games I've wanted for a long time.
For me this is going to be the biggest spending all time.
Dammit! Yet I kinda dig gog for putting this stuff. So many games!

Yeah I was thinking of getting Majesty 1 and skipping the second one. My guess - without ever playing either - is that they went quite wrong in many ways with the second one and the first one is something amazing :) but you know, just from what I've seen and read.

Hi from Portugal to Hungary, Brasil and Finland - and anyone else who is up...

What are the games you like?
That sounds like a good idea about Majesty, the reviews for the second one don't look good.

The reviews for MoO3 are dreadful, am I missing something? (apart from bits of my hand, eaten by the cat?)

Morning Portugal! :)
Well, my memory of MoO3 reviews are on those lines from the past... I guess if you really love the series, it might be worth it.... I remember deciding not to get that even though I liked playing the first one.
Hm. then again I wasn't a huge fan :)

Stilton: Damn, I missed you ;-( I'm glad you're well and having a good holiday. Its good to see reality instead of PC games for a while, and there's nothing like travel to open your mind and senses. Its always interesting see how different people do the same things ;-) Enjoy yourself! (don't worry about the games - they'll be around again) ;-)
avatar
moonshineshadow: I am enjoying the holidays :-) And honestly I don't mind the missed discount on the games, I have enough to last me the next ten to twenty years. I only mind missing all the fun here on the forum during the sale :D
Hellloooo Moon, lovely to see you! Those are stunning pics, what a beautiful city (or technically, 'cities'). I have never been there, still on my 'places to go' list.
Happy to hear that you're having fun and enjoying your holiday. :-D

Great post from you @Stilton, I couldn't agree more.

How are things in Finland - I hope you will have good weather today. Did you get the games you wanted?

Things are quiet this morning. Just browsing and making coffee with some jazz piano from youtube :)
Yesterday was a Activity Day (tm) for me. So today the only aim is to sit down with my new and old games and enjoy.
The weather is a bit chilly, + 14 C, but Sunny and anyhow it's mostly holiday for me for the next 4 weeks, so what's there to complain? :)
Oh, the games. I got Shadowrun Dragonfall, Trails in the sky, Majesty 1, Risen and the add-on to The Last Federation - very happy!

Good morning. =)

You aren't missing anything, the desire for Master of Orion 3 is one part series completionism to two parts gawking at the trainwreck you get when a company makes really good games in a series, then screws up completely and destroys it all.

Hoping you've got that hand bandaged up and that the swelling you mentioned last time has gone down.
Hi Crow!

ZenWan, hope you showed the bitten hand to a doctor?
