CarrionCrow: That makes sense. Might as well make use of better speed when you can get it.
Downloading Gray Matter now and it's 6.5. Needless to say, it's taking a bit.
Furthermore, since the download will get done faster, I'd also be able to download any other games I might potentially acquire in the Summer Sale. Who knows, I could end up with 10GB somehow!

Also - there were 2 releases today, and there are 2 release streams scheduled for tomorrow, so...... if those would be for today's releases and there are no other releases tomorrow maybe Wednesday is another possible candidate for the Summer Sale start.

No it was only one release today. Only Star Trek Starfleet Command - the other one is a pre-order...

I hate speculating. If it's not Insomnia, where waiting is part of the game-style sale format, I am all kinds of impatient and wish they'd just put the damn thing out already.

I would bring up the Gamersgate sale as an example of them needing to hurry up to beat other stores to the punch, but I looked through that sale and it's not great...

Pre-release stream then? :P

OK maybe you're right... we'll have to see what's released tomorrrow!

I don't even visit Gamersgate, let alone have an account. They always seemed real shady to me. Some things they've done to customers in the past are real off-putting.

That's what curious about too. Maybe Starfleet Command II Empires at War or Crypt of the Necrodancer? Oh that would be great. Really looking forward for that game. Just because of the game's premise :D

Are you referring to the possibilty for the developers to change drm on owned games?

Likewise, on all counts. If I don't have a good feeling just looking at the site, there's no way in hell I'm doing business with them.

Additional - Ohhhhhh man...there is something seriously wrong with how my mind works.
I have Vampire Bloodlines and Vampire Redemption on my desktop, and I went with Redemption to play.
That's like passing up a steak dinner to have a dollar burger from McDonald's that someone spit on first.

That's exactly what i meant - happened to me as well. And i only had a Gamersgate-account for the drm free version of Crusader Kings II in the first place which is now discontinued....

Is Redemption that much worse than Bloodlines? I know Bloodlines is a classic...

Well, I'll put it to you this way. I put the game on, and as soon as it started, I just started laughing.

It's Diablo-style point and click action RPG gameplay, only it looks like the inventory is even smaller.
Also, my character falls over after killing two enemies in a cutscene, only to have some jackass order me to clear out an area full of enemies that no one else can. By that logic, I'd already be dead by exertion alone.
So it's feeling like the storytelling is ever so slightly wonky.

Right, who are you and what have you done with Crow?

Call it for what it is, a pustulent fetid swamp of halfway done offers on shovelware games inhabited by creatures best described as octopii with oversized human genitalia that force themselves on the unsupecting and unwary passer-by.

I should write children stories.

Ah i see...but how is it even possible to have a smaller inventory like Diablo? Yup sounds like perfect storytelling ;)

Timelord technology.

j0ekerr: Timelord technology.
You mean it's bigger on the inside?

I don't have enough history with it to work up a decent amount of vitriol.
The game I'm playing, on the other hand, will undoubtedly do nicely in that regard. =)

It could be worse. It could be a white castle burguer.

It can always be worse.

Exactly, but in suppository form. How else would you explain that feeling in your anus after you've been playing with the game for a couple of hours?
