ElTerprise: 'n Abend :)

Looks like it's anomie out there....

All is good here - what about you aside from yawning?
Goedenavond geachte heer!

I'm quite alright thank you. I often enter this trance-like state late in the evenings while my mind is defragmenting the day's input. I'm usually away to attend to my fantasy existences at such times :P

The psychologist thinks that someday I will lose all touch with reality and go on some psychotic self-mutilation or berserk spree or something, but it works better than the mindfulness training he advocates (note the hyperbolism).

Good to hear you have an untroubled evening yourself ;)

Lekker, as the dutch would say. ;)

If you are observant enough, and empathetic enough to feel happiness at your brothers display of happiness then I'd say your mental state is far healthier than many in this world.
My applause to you for just caring. ;)

That's good to hear - including the trance. Do that now and again too ;)

Thank you :)

Funny the translation of lekker is not entirely what i expected :P

Vnlr: Hmmm; care for a lavish description of consistency, flavour, aftertaste and composition? ;)

I've looked at FTL in the past but it seemed a bit too hardcore for my usual tastes. I like playing games, but I mostly suck at them; So I prefer if they're just hard enough to give me a good go but no more.

Some of my internal language settings must have gone wrong too. I catch myself phrasing thoughts in English quite often.

Rest aside, it's all quiet. The Elder brother dragged his girlfriend home for studying, but it's more like sitting on the couch watching old television series while lovingly caressing each other on the arms.

Makes me happy to see my brother being happy, he is often fed up with the world too ;)
Big, fat, chewy chocolate chip cookies. Soft but not too soft. They taste... amazing ;-) A delicious amount of vanilla, and the perfect amount of chocolate chips. They look and taste like something you'd find in a bakery (<--- I'm getting good at baking [/proud]) :-)

Hmm... I'd say FTL is good for casual and hardcore players alike. Permadeath might be annoying, but as one of the tips says in the game, dying is part of the fun :-) ... There are different difficulty levels, but it is still a bit on the difficult side, at least until you get the hang of things. It's fun - but not for everyone, of course.

Good for your brother, and good of you to be happy for him :-)

ElTerprise: Well that's what roguelikes do: They pluck you over....you didn't expect the game to stop all activity just because you felt the need to stop and save for a moment ;)
It was still cheap >:-p
It's a really fun game, though. I enjoy all that scavenging and crafting stuff :-) Can't wait to explore more of it.

It's a bit like a vacation as far a making stress levels drop is concerned.

May many more peaceful evenings befall you mein herr ;)

That's an expression which gives many dutch-speaking Belgians horrified goosebumps; it's mostly used in the form "Lekker voor je" (something like: "That tastes good for you then"). With the South-Limburg accent from just across the border it's priceless ;)
Well lekker is close to lecker which means tasty, yummy, etc...but i didn't expect the amount of uses for that word :)
Dutch and German are pretty close which is why was somewhat surprised (it's usually not that hard for Germans to read Dutch) :)

That was meant as a joke. Plus it has a really, really, really, really pretty girl on it. :-)

Of course :D
Sounds good. Want to give that an extended try at some point (like with so many games ^^) :)

Can get that :)

Thank you and please be less formal. :D

Using it that way it is close to "lecker" :)

I really like the Dutch language for all of these quirks ;)

For all that matter, you could also say "flikker toch al effe lekker op" (try translating that one)

Endre, je bent een leuke bink hoor. Je advies zo over dat D&D boek was echt lekker man! Zo van jou moesten ze er meer hebben, mooi bedankt!

There, that's all of them in one sentence :P

Sowwy...just a bit tired to get that and sure it was impossible to overlook her :)
Funnily enough i know some jokes that go in a similar direction :P

It's not very positive though. If I were to say that to someone I'd be like: hahaha sucks for you, sorry not sorry. :P

You can also call an event or happening (ie, a fail of one of your friends) "sour"

"Dat is zuur"

It's double quite a lot of the time when I hear it, in a patronising/uncaring manner mostly. But I heave heard it being used sincerely in a supportive manner.

I just read that the creator of Haagse harry died while looking for dirty language for the boys :(

Agent are you American or French today? I'm feeling really outnumbered here. :-)
