Vnlr: Good afternoon everybody!
I hope today finds you all well?
I spent all of yesterday playing a Lan game of endless space with an old friend. I'd never played it before despite owning it for some time, but it was easy enough to pick up on. Except the combat system (losing to vastly inferior enemies all the time) and me blustering through the research screen.
Now I'm working on some of my pen and paper RPG stuff. I thought of trying to grab the runequest core rulebook in a local store, but for now D&D 4.0 is keeping us steadily busy and going at it; the players tell me they love the plot so far, so that makes the DM happy. Only problem is that we have an otherwise very happy player in the group who has qualms about playing D&D 4. Apparently nearly everyone thinks it's vastly inferior to 3.5 and a total betrayel of everything D&D which I don't really get as it plays well enough. Fading suns keeps being fun too, although the party is slightly OP. Might have to houserule shields and laser auto-rifles ;)
I've tried working on music but it's one of those days that it really doesn't work out.
How is your day? *hugs and a wise sermon from the dilbert future for everyone*
Jesus harold christ, D&D 4.0 is/was horrible.
