pimpmonkey2382.313: Loved trek since I was in elementary school x)

Fantasysci5: Me too! Original Series the most, but I love the reboots too. Karl Urban does an amazing job with Bones, all cranky and lovely! He's my favorite character of the new ones, and the old ones was probably Spock. But I loved the arguing Spock and McCoy did, and I'm sad they hardly interact in the reboots at all. :(

avatar
FearfulSymmetry: Oh very fancy! Although I'm glad I won't have to sit on a heated chair this weekend. :P To be honest I haven't seen the old series, just the new films. Although I plan on watching everything when it comes to Netflix (I think they just signed a deal to distribute the series).
avatar
Fantasysci5: When I went to book the tickets, I was really surprised that it wasn't all sold out since it's opening weekend. I've only seen the originals and the reboots, not any of the other series. :)
I liked TOS, TNG, and some select episodes of DS9 here and there. I love the reboots also, can't wait to see the new one.

FearfulSymmetry: Some of the country got rain/stormy weather last night but we didn't. I'd actually like a bit of rain here ...

Yeah, that might be the case. I've been kind of faint/close to passing out a few times these past two weeks as well.
Understandable - at least we're having a bit of wind here now - that helps a bit :)

Would make sense - although it would be a pretty severe deficiency when you were close to passing out. Had some problems with iron deficiency myself which resulted in some circulation issues but those were less severe than being close to passing out....

I just took the dog for a walk and apparently she felt so hot afterwards that she proceeded to jump around in her little dog bath in the garden. Which was fine, except for the fact that she then jumped up onto my lap with dirty paws, meaning that my clothes are now covered in brown stains. And then she proceeded to run through the living room three times, splashing the water up against the walls. :P

Well to be honest I always pass out pretty easily. Maybe it's low blood pressure or something. If I stand up too quickly my vision goes black and things like that. :P

GhostwriterDoF: Good afternoon!
Coffee! Now I'll have to get some.

The combat in DA O is definitely rewarding, especially on the hard and hardest difficulty
settings when you know you've earned that battle. Later in the game it balances out a bit
if you have been leveling the characters wisely. ;)
Hope you enjoyed your coffee... ;)

Yeah, I tend to go the "Take all or most of the side quests, complete as many as possible or until getting bored and then progress with the main one," - route... That usually in rpgs helps, so that I don't have to learn all the fancy tactics or concentrate 100% in every battle... but yeah the hard battle wins are quite rewarding. The hardest difficulty might be a bit too much though ;)

pimpmonkey2382.313: I must suck at this game, I feel rewarded when I beat a tough one on easy x)
Like Ghostwriter said, if you can beat it on easy, you are already a real gamer ;)
I've played mostly only rpgs in the last two years (a few point'n'clicks and strategy games too) - and at some point you just get used to the next game quite quickly... there are so many things in common usually... it's not about being smart or anything like that, just that it's so easy to find a way to beat the monsters quickly having done it so many times in recent years already - that's why I need sometimes a harder difficulty... I guess :)

Good afternoon/evening folks, hope you are all well and drinking LOTS of water.
The weather report says it feels like 116F (46.6C) outside with the current humidity. To me it just feels like I'm being boiled. Two more days of this and we should drop down to a chilly 32C. :-)
*hugs, waves, swimming pools*

That sounds fantastic - but also familiar because our cat loves to jump onto our laps when we drenched - he usually demands to be petted dry :P

Oh...that could definitely be low blood pressure because i had/have relatively low blood pressure and exactly happens now and again for me too...

Hey Endre :)
Well i'm good but totally exhausted from playing volleyball in a gym without proper AC (it was not even possible to open the windows O_o) - how are you aside from being boiled?

Oh and you call 32°C chilly? :)

Volleyball? Only way you'd get me to run today would be if a bear was chasing me. ;)
Feeling OK other than it's a bit hard to breathe even inside today, I'd really prefer about 5-6C.
It's pretty weird how good 32 can feel once you've experienced this inferno stuff. :-)

Well it's been for the fiasrt time in weeks mostly due to the European Cup which made it impossible to find enough people to play (it's not fun to play 3 vs 3 ^^) but to be honest it wasn't the best idea - although i liked playing it again :)
Uh that's annoying - i can sympathise with that because i could barely enter my room today - it was just way too hot in there ...
Fair enough. That makes sense. Guess i'm lucky that i've never experiences such high temperatures before (my personal record is around 38°C / 100°F)

If your gym has a steam room you'll have a good idea of what this is like. Our relative humidity is only slightly lower than that which makes it impossible for sweat to evaporate, even with a breeze. I can tolerate 36-37C if it's dry, this is not nice and I'm glad it seldom lasts for more than a few days. What's worrying is this is not typically the hottest month of the year, that's reserved for August. :/
